NFA wait times and BS thread

I did 3 eForm 1's in 2020. Never heard of anything like that.

I started doing one last night to SBR a new HK SP5 waiting for me at my FFL right now.

Got to the part where they want pics of the gun...what do they want pics of? Serial number or all markings on the thing?

eForms are way nicer than the old paper ones I did back in 2010.

 

I submitted picture showing of the Manufacturer, model, SN, and required trust info engraved (already had it done on the lower).
I had to get my 37mm launcher frame engraved, so that one is sitting there as a draft until I load the picture.

I don't get why they process the payment before you are allowed to sign and submit.

When I did my first eForm I thought after I paid the $200 it was finished.

My dumb ass waited 3 days and still no email with the cover letter. Everyone said you get the cover letter email instantly as soon as you complete the form. Went back into the form to edit it, and found out I never signed and submitted it. Soon as I did I got the email.

 

Yep. I redid the entire thing and didn't have another issue. 2 minutes after I submitted, I had the cover letter. I will send it out Tuesday with the one for my launcher along with a stack of fingerprint cards.

 

It was painful, my 3 other ones were 240-260

 

I'm coming up on 150 on my 15-22 Integra. Completely forgot about it until I started these two.

 

Just got back from the gun shop. Now I can finish my eForm 1.

 

Form submitted, cover letter printed.

Gotta drive 4 miles to the LEO station Monday to get my fingerprint cards done.

Leave there and head to the post office. I know it's not needed, but I always send my cards next day mail.

Then patiently wait maybe no longer than a month. In 2020 it was only 23 and 17 days.

 

E-Form 1 SBR submitted 3/31, approved 4/20.
E-Form 1 Destructive Device submitted 4/5, not yet approved.
Prints and cover sheets mailed for both 4/5.
Submitted as Trust with 1 RP and 24 month exception on trust docs (they should be glad not to get 200 pages of legal jargon).

 

eForm 1 submitted April 2nd. Received stamp today.

Total of 10 days!

 

Got the email this morning. Still waiting on the 37mm to be approved.

Need to start thinking of what can to get for it, already have a FA binary trigger coming for it.

 

Day 98ish from certification sent still in jail

 

HK SP5's look 1000% better with a stock! I bought a tri lug adapter for my suppressor and a tri lug barrel mount for my CZ S2 SBR.

 

Anyone do an E-Form 4 recently?

Have been looking at a factory SBR purchase and wondering on current time.

 

I’m 122 days in on my eform4 from February and still counting.

After getting my HK SP5 stamped as a SBR it was lonely in my safe being the only HK in there.

Figured I'd better buy it a companion. A HK SP5K PDW.

It arrived at my FFL this past Friday, and as soon as I got home I submitted my eForm 1 to SBR it. The ATF will receive my prints today...Monday.

Now the wait. My SP5 only took 10 days.




I really like those tri lug barrels.
