Is anyone running this nfab bar? I saw a guy on here with the larger one but no one with the simple bar. Wondering if the install is a pain and if the pod light fitment was good. Pics if you have them, thanks!

So much better looking than an led bar. So much.

I think @RobP62 is rocking the bar, but has a light bar mounted on there.

I have the larger version. I thought about that simple one though. NFAB makes great stuff. Ultimately when I move up to an armored bumper it will all be for sale.

I saw your install info, does that apply to just your model or both of them?

I'd be willing to bet it applies to both. I mean, mine is basically the same with the addition of a top bar over the light. I will say, with a light bar it is tight up against the grill. I keep saying I am gonna take it off and dremel the mount to move it away some. The light bar is rather large though too. A thinner one would not be an issue.

It's a quality lighting mounting solution. You shouldn't be dissapointed. Installation is definitely tricky. I found that a 18" long 3/4 drive ratchet extension was crucial even with my smaller Dewalt driver. I should have used a air ratchet. Swivel extensions or adapters will help too. Or 72 tooth sockets. The brackets only mount up one way to the frame so don't be fooled by them. Also, follow @smugly installation guide for cutting the black air deflectors. You definitely don't need to cut as much as the directions say to.

Definitely post up during and after. A lot of people will appreciate it, myself included.

I made one like that a few years back for my 2nd gen Taco. IIRC Cost me less then $20 and a few hours of my time. You can see it on my truck in my avatar. I might make another one for my 3rd gen Taco.
How much is the Nfab bar?

No lights installed yet, but the bar is on and solid. I have the 163OLD version meant for small LED lights but I’ll be using Hella 700’s.

I thought the install was pretty simple. Pull the grill, bolt on the brackets, cut the tab on the lower grill, and bolt it together. Took my about 2 hours. You’ll need a decently powerful drill for the self tapping screws that go in to the aluminum cross member. I used a 1/2” drive ratchet to tighten the bumper brackets back on.

New the bars are $165 or so, I got mine from Amazon warehouse for $65 shipped prime. :)

    Thanks!

I’ll second following the @smugly instructions too. They’re very clearly written and definitely is nice to do less cutting. I used tin snips to trim my rad panels and cut the grill slats FYI.

The directions are kinda wordy but it harder to describe it well compared to actually doing the install.

Looks nice, mine doesn't have the flat plate that yours does but otherwise very similar. I went to install mine and they didn't ship the brackets for it. Contacted the dealer and they are supposed to be on the way. Post some pics when you get your lights mounted.

Nfab shipped the bar without the brackets, then 2 left side brackets, still waiting for the correct parts......3 hours wasted tearing the bumper apart and putting it back together, thanks Nfab.
