I've had mine for two years and they still look new....... I live in the south and don't have to deal with salted roads and such so maybe that's the difference

Wow did you contact them about replacement. I have chrome Nfabs on mine and have no problem yet. Installed mine before winter and had a rotten salty winter . I see no where you contacted them and any response from them if you did.

If youve only had them for 4 months I would call the company to complain about it or at least say something cause thats a joke. I always thought they were a descent company with good products. If they dont work our for you look into Avid Offroad products! Just click the link in my sig to check them out. They have quality products thats for sure!

    My thoughts,
    1) call about warranty on defective finish
    2) sandblast and powdercoat
    3) sell those and buy stainless

I have the polished stainless nfab's for 4yrs now and no problems even with living in Wi

Do you have true N-fabs or the China made ones. Mine are only about 4 months old and are the Satin Black, but look like new.

    Just a few minor things.
Had mine RhinoLined. Looks better than gloss or chrome IMO.

Definitely call them before you trash them. See if they'll stand behind their product!

I've got their 2" Gloss Black N-Fab side steps. I really like them so far. But my truck is only 2 months old! And the steps are newer.

They have a five year warranty on the powder coat finishes.

yea toyota's have a warranty also, try to get them to do warranty work and they refuse most of the time,,

these bars would never last 5 yrs without rusting and paint coming off,, by the time i took them off packed them up, paid shipping too and from where ever i would have to send them, not worth my time and effort,, i will just get news ones from a better manufacture.....

Does nfab make the ones Toyota sells as TRD? I've got the genuine Toyota side step nerf bars, and they're holding up well. Look brand new after 6 months.

I've had the NFab rock sliders for about 7 months now and they look fine. However, I wash my truck regularly during the winter to get rid of all of the salt build-up.

I had the Go Rhino steps, same basic design, that did the same thing. After less than a year big chunks of paint flaking off. Unfortunately sand blasting and repowdercoating was about the same price as what I paid. Not the first time I've heard of this, hopefully they follow through on the warranty.

Are they the TRUE Nfabs? Or the Smittybilt knock-offs?

The only thing about the warranty is that you have to ship them back on your dime. Then if they deem it under warranty will fix and ship back. Regardless you pay for shipping.

Also finding a box big enough was ridiculous.

Instead of going through all that I sold them. Screw it.
