I must say, the Chargers always suck at the beginning of the season. :p

They'd be 5-0 if they didn't have so many mental mistakes (3 lost fumbles yesterday on long drives, including one returned for a touchdown on the potential game winning drive). Oh yeah, and they need to fire their fucking special teams coach!!!!!!

They had 9 points off two consecutive blocked punts...what the fuck?!?!?!!??!

Speak for yourself, and try not to speak for my team. Green Bay is sitting 4-2 with damn near half of our starting roster injured. Im content with that for now... we just need to get healthy.

Is someone butt hurt that someone else spoke poorly of their team? He is right though, the teams that were supposed to be/usually are huge just aren't playing to their full potential. True, some injuries may be key, but then where is the "team" aspect? Other guys gotta step it up when someone is down and out. I know that is tough to say, when there are some big game changers out, but that is the truth. After week one, I called GB and Houston in the big show but now... I really have no idea. It is blown wide open right now. My Jags sitting at 3-2 still have a pretty good chance of making the playoffs even. And Cowboys with one win? I would have never thought. Very strange season indeed...

3-2 but yeah, that's not bad for all of the injuries the team has sustained.

Amen I know Im right man my team was amazing last year idk if our defense is the problem or our o line but they keep blaming it all on palmer and hey he has had great numbers this year we need to figure it out this week on our by week and domintate from here on out!!! 2-3 WTF!!!!

on a second note this years crazy wacky game results are killing me in fantasy! Fact of the matter is there is not one team in the NFL that is omg good, they all are beating each other!!! CRAZY

I attended the Bengals/Bucs game yesterday. (First road trip for my truck) Bengals/Palmer looked really bad. This team hasn't scored more than 24 points since Week 7 last season, they only average 17 PPG during that same span. They don't play to win anymore, they play not to lose.

    Fukkin' Pathetic.

    • Finley: He will have surgery to repair what the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports is a torn meniscus in his right knee. Coach Mike McCarthy said he would be "surprised" if the injury ended Finley's season. It's more likely he'll miss between three and six weeks.
    • Barnett: There is now "some hope" that a wrist injury will not cost him the rest of the season, McCarthy said. But surgery scheduled for Wednesday likely will cost Barnett at least six weeks.
    • Lee: He has a chest sprain, McCarthy said, that will cost "maybe a couple weeks."
    • Martin: A knee sprain is likely to cost him several weeks.
    • Quarterback Aaron Rodgers: McCarthy said he will miss some practice time "at minimum" this week but wouldn't rule him out of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. Still, given the heightened state of awareness on brain issues in the NFL, it wouldn't at all be surprising to see Rodgers miss his first game since becoming the team's starter in 2008.
    • Linebacker Clay Matthews: He missed a month during the preseason because of a hamstring pull, but McCarthy said the latest hamstring injury was "not as severe as the first time." Whether Matthews can make it back in one week, however, is uncertain.
    • Defensive end Ryan Pickett: An ankle sprain has left his status uncertain for this week and beyond.

Yea for us cinci fans its no good, palmer needs to realize he can look to more then one guy in each game he has so many passing weapons and yet he chooses to to to again again again! Poor chad hasnt been being thrown to! Shipley should be returning soon, caldwell isnt that great gresham is a badass! Benson, scott, peerman, are all beast we have the d! Our special teams can use a lil more work! and our Oline needs to give palmer a lil more time he is hurried and makes bad plays granted he has played good, bad, good, bad up and down I think this week our bye they need to quit blaming palmer and accept the bad games as a team, granted hes the leader and qb the whole team needs to step it up!!!! What kills the bengals is turnovers and penalties thats why we lose the games!! Step it up cinci I hate seeing them lose to shitty teams!

NFL Wants To Protect Its Quarterbacks, Except Aaron Rodgers

    By Andrew Suchorski
    (Contributor) on October 12, 2010

[IMG] This past weekend, the Green Bay Packers fell in overtime after an Aaron Rodgers turnover led to points for the opposing team.
Stop me if you have heard that before.
Replay also showed that he suffered a blow to the head, and the play should have resulted in a 15-yard penalty against the defense.
Sound a bit familiar? It should.
The Green Bay Packers were knocked out of the playoffs last year after Aaron Rodgers was hit and fumbled, resulting in an Arizona touchdown and a 51-45 shootout win.
However, replay clearly showed that the defender grabbed Rodgers' face mask, and instead of a game-ending fumble recovery for a touchdown, the Packers should have received new life and another opportunity to win the game. But that never happened because the referees missed the call in a pivotal moment of the game.
Fast-forward to Week 5 of the 2010 season. This year, the NFL elected to move the umpire behind the line of scrimmage, partially for his safety, partially so that they could better protect the quarterback. It has been fairly successful across the league.
In fact, when defenders hit Peyton Manning or Brett Favre too hard, or come too close to Tom Brady's legs, flags fly very quickly. In Week 3, the Packers lost in part because an interception was called back when a rightful helmet-to-helmet penalty was called against the Packers.
[IMG] There is earlier helmet to helmet contact as well, but this is the best picture of it
And yet, Aaron Rodgers can never seem to catch a break, or even get a penalty called against the defender who is striking him in the head. Replays again showed that the defender who got pressure on Aaron Rodgers when he threw the interception in overtime, made helmet-to-helmet contact as he forced the QB to the ground.
If the quarterback was Brett Favre, it would have been a penalty. If the quarterback was Peyton Manning, it would have been a penalty. If the quarterback was Jay Cutler, it would have been a penalty. But not if Aaron Rodgers was under center.
It happened once in the NFL playoffs, and it cost the Packers a chance to play the Saints the following week. A missed call once in a while is understandable. But it is unacceptable for this to have happened more than once and for it to have cost the Packers two of their past six games.
But in a year when touchdown catches are ruled incomplete because of celebrations, don't expect the NFL to do anything except defend their own referees and image. But it is inexcusable for NFL referees to have missed personal foul calls on Aaron Rodgers—one of which resulted in a concussion—and resulted in losses for the Green Bay Packers.
Packers fans have every reason to be upset about how this season is playing out, but we should be even more angry about the fact that two of our last six games were dictated by poor referees who would have made different calls for different quarterbacks.

I am with you on this one. As a Packer fan I was shocked that there was no penalty on that play. While not as obvious in real speed as the one against Arizona where the defender relocated his jaw, it was still horribly obvious that it was contact to the head of a QB, which in most cases would be Roughing the Passer. Now we play a tough Dolphins team and htere are question as to our starters health (along with all the Defensive injuries we are dealing with).
