    NFL moves up kickoff to 35-yard line
    Teams voted Tuesday to move kickoffs from the 30- to 35-yard line and prohibit a running head start of more than five yards for members of the coverage team.

    They are taking away one of the most exciting plays in football! Lame!

    not a fan, but better than what they had talked about. At least they're not movin the touchback up to the 25.

    They even mentioned gettin rid of kick offs all together! They're ruining the game.

    Yeah I agree, its kind of crapy.. But looking at it, most of these guys get up to full speed in the first 10 yards. So I think the point on the NFL is mute. Just my $.02

    From what I understand, they did this for 'player safety.' I personally don't care to appease to multi-million salaried players' safety by decreasing the enjoyment of the game. For how much the sport makes, you'd think they could find even better ways to improve safety without changing dynamics so drastically. :(
