    More BS. Yeah, it's comedy, but it's BS. I LOVE the National Anthem. It reminds what a great fucking country I live in. A country that has seen the lives of more people in the history of the planet succeed. A country that is the most generous of any people on the face of earth. A place where you can be anything you want. A place where a black man with no father can be President of the United States of America, POS though he was. A place where players with college degrees, that can barely read, make millions of dollars a year. Screw'um. You don't stand for the National Anthem, I will not watch you play. The NFL can hire Kaep to sweep their office floors for all I care.

    What made me laugh was the line that "Kaep isn't good enough to protest." He isn't. Pete was dead-on that score. Even Michael Vick pointed out that he wasn't a good enough player, and that was why he wasn't getting the playing time and attention. This protest thing is an excuse that is getting confused with skill and ability.

    The anthem still gives me chills, but that might have been 22 years of saluting the flag at 1700 every day during retreat. Folks still have the right to protest it - no matter whether I like it not - and I'd rather we be that country than what Turkey or Russia have become.

    Oh, and go Bengals! :rolleyes:

    While Kaep was a flash in the pan (defenses figured out how to stuff his run, and his passing was fair to poor), he still has a right to protest. I'm all for it. Just NOT on company time. That's my beef. But this whole argument that it's racist is complete bullshit. Lets see what Jim Brown, Hall of Fame NFL running back, and political activist has to say;

    “Colin has to make up his mind whether he's truly an activist or he's a football player,” Brown said. “Football is commercial. You have owners. You have fans. And you want to honor that if you're making that kind of money…”
    Brown added: “You have to understand there's intelligence that's involved, OK? I can't be two things at once that contradict each other. If I sign for money, then the people I sign with, they have rules and regulations.”
