One of the reasons the NFL is hemorrhaging viewers.

lol come on, arguable at the least... like same same but very different you know

sitting down where the boss tells you no you can not sit there...
just like kneeling down when the boss told you no you must now stand up...

it is just another form of silent protest...

imho this is being blown out of proportion, I cant help but think that had it been brady and not the guy with an afro the fake news would have constructed the story a tad different.

I guess the part that really gets me is there are teams out there right now who have total limp arms as QBs. yet this guy who has a proven arm is getting black balled.

A proven arm with no touch and not much accuracy. Fact is he is a backup at best and no one wants to deal with the bullshit that comes in tow for a backup.

He's an employee who receives a salary to represent a company. If his conduct goes against behavior expectations, management has the right to take action. Customers have the right to avoid that company's services. If he wants to be a social justice warrior outside of work in a manner that does not reflect on the company, he has that right. He does not have the right to claim that he's being discriminated against when his performance and behavior do not meet previously published expectations. Doesn't matter whether he's a corporate accountant, welder, or professional football player - there is a time and place for protest, and the workplace isn't it.

The sad thing is I understand and agree with the reasons he's protesting. I take great offense to how.

I can't take you seriously if you are going to try and compare Rosa Parks to Kaepernick. Miss Parks had a seriously legitimate beef. Kaepernick is a confused asshole who is being manipulated by outside influences. He lived a charmed life. Ran into some employment problems, now it's all about racism. Fuq that guy.

I think the part you are missing is that it is doubtful that Kap actually is trying to change anything. I suspect the reason the protest started was to put the 9ers in a position not to cut him prior to last season. He made it political so he could ride the bench and collect his paycheck. Hence the reason he didn't vote. His claims of bias are BS! If you look at the stats they simply do not hold up. The part everyone seems to forget is the NFL is a business. As Kap has the right to disrespect the very country that allows him the freedom to be such a pile of shit the owners also reserve the right to decide not to associate with him and pay him millions of dollars. Kap is racist and I suspect he is playing a role that his agent recommended and our ignorant populace is making a spoiled POS a martyr because of mass stupidity. GOOD JOB!

I really had never followed him enough to really know how he played, truth is before his kneeling stuff I didn't care much, I do think in the eyes of many who support his kneeling, that somehow he has now kinda been assumed as a better player than he was and or is... kinda understandable, bunch of none football fans who care more about political matters all of a sudden have football knowledge because of this fiasco....

I agree with you, when you are at work you are following the rules that work puts forward for you as an employee...
If the guy sucks he should have been canned no questions asked...
I do not believe that he is standing up for himself though as much as he is standing up for those who do not have that limelight.
Just like rosa, she said piss off this is my seat, so was she really doing it for herself honestly because her legs had been tired, or was it more a stance for those who do not even have the means to pay the bus fare...
tough comparing the two at this time ok, what she did has past, what he is doing is still ongoing... can not compare ok I agree with you...
But like I replied to Capt. is he really doing it for himself or for the ones who will never have the voice?
I see rosa not giving up the seat as a protest for those who ride the buss just as much as for those who can not even afford it. Just as a principal.
I think he is doing what he is doing conscientiously and not because some manager is helping him play the off field mind games.

nfl is a none for profit, so technically not a business...
stats should make or break you i get that loud and clear, but not taking a knee...
I have a hard time seeing how taking a knee is assimilated with racism.

I agree with you guys that keeping the politics off the field is a good idea... just like we keep it off the forums here...
football should be a time for escaping that mess and enjoy a game of mental and physical strengths, and should be left at that...
I will say though in this country we do a decent job of keeping politics and sport some what apart from one another.
Take the beloved and despised game of soccer, the real football you know lol, that sport is riddled with political chaos

The guy has an arm but his pocket play is abysmal. One take by Ex QB coach Steve Logan:

It has everything to do with his ability to play in the pocket,” Logan said of Kaepernick’s lack of a job. “Wherever he goes there will have to be a massive re-design of the entire offense to suit his skill-set, which is unique. But I’m just telling you why he’s not on a roster. It has everything to do with his ability to play in the pocket. And be really good in the pocket. Because the game has taken away his calling card, which is the zone-read. Defensive coordinators in the NFL will not let you beat them with that football play. You can irritate them with that football play but you cannot beat them with that football play anymore.”

Maybe a cop out to justify his non-play, but I think there is at least some truth to it.

First off the owners pay the NFL that pays the salary of the players on the contracts assigned to each team. The NFL as an organisation is a non profit (which is BS) however the teams are not.
Second taking a knee has nothing to do with Kap being a racist POS. His actions are responsible for that.
Furthermore this concept of the extreme left that they are entitled to an opinion but anyone who does not share the same perspective has no right is the problem. Kap wants to kneel, fine. Owners don't want to hire him because of it. Then very well. That is also the right of the owners and protesting them because of it is the very thing everyone supposedly has a problem with. What we have is a generation of weak people who are unable to fathom not getting there way. Lastly the things that Kap is protesting is BS when you look at the stats. Not his horrible stats as a player. The stats of equality in this country.

Hell no, I am saying there is and always will be in any populace. What I am saying is that statistically it weighs completely against the argument of people on Kap's side of the argument.
