Seattle is not the Seattle of 3 years ago. A team that was a lock (for the most part) at home.

 

Unfortunately, the lack of a rushing attack and way too many injuries means Seattle will be lucky to garner a wild card spot. They may need to win out to have a shot at a wild card.

 

The next meeting vs the Rams should be interesting. Winner of that game wins the division I'm thinking.

 

Seahawks play SF on the road next but then have the Eagles at home and Jacksonville on the road as well as the Rams at home and finish with the Cardinals at home and then on the road against the Cowgirls. Zeke will be back from his suspension and probably will be ready to hit something that won't get him a domestic violence charge.

Yeah. 7 seconds and 1 timeout he would have been better off taking a quick shot at the end zone and then calling a timeout if no touch down. I always say take the points.

 

Blair Walsh isn't the best but he shouldn't have been put in that situation in the first place so I can't blame him.

 

Definitely a perplexing call at the end of first half, not much of an up side if any. Kick the field goal.

To say they should not have put a kicker in the position of kicking a FG?!? That IS his position.

 

I think he means it didn't need to get to that point. Shouldn't have had to rely on a FG but fuckups before forced us to.

 

I understand, IMO that is the purpose of the place kicker. Teams make that excuse for the kicker all the time. The kicker has a job and that's the job.

 

I'm guessing (didn't watch) that he wouldn't have been put in that exact situation if they had gone (and made) for a field goal before halftime and all other scoring drive remained the same (likely not going to happen but)

 

Knowing his track record this season, they should have got him a little closer.

 

I'll put it this way - I for one am pissed about all the other stupid shit we did in the game to get to the point where we had to leave it up to a FG to bail our ass out. That's all. Of course his job is to kick a FG but if we didn't have our heads so far up our asses he could've taken the night off.

 

I hate how Bevell abandons the run after a couple of good plays.

 

It would have been a 35 yd attempt, that's considered an almost 'gimme'. For Carrol to think they would score a TD on a fake from there is not realistic. Percentages are lopsided favoring the FG attempt. It was the end of the 1st half not end of game, that was a desperation move... FG attempt every time IMO. Walsh had ONE bad game this year, the Washington game.
They definitely should have gotten him closer at the end, obviously.

His last kick that was 52 yards was the one I was referring to. Yes, I think he should have kicked the 35 yarder before half time. Of course as history has shown us, it's the chip shots that get in his head.
