Defense is ranked about 27th. I think they have flip flopped a bit. They had the defense before and weak O. Now they have the O and weak D.

 

Marty Mornhinweg is the Ravens offensive coordinator... No wonder their offense sucks!

 

Man, you guys need to stop sending off coaches after a year because you didn’t make it to the super bowl.

It takes time to build and rebuild etc. Why would you start Garapolo when you’re 1 wins and awful? What difference does it make, you have zero chance aside from an asteroid hitting Seattle, LA and AZ of making the playoffs, let your coach run his program.

 

Do you think there is a chance they can re-sign him? He's on the last year of his deal. I'm not a 9'rs fan by the way and the trade made no sense to me unless they get something out of him or can sign him long term

He still has to sign it. Then win the starting job and even if he does that's probably 22 mil tied up in basically a 1 year rental.

 

There’s a lot that can happen between now and next season obviously, but would you pass up an opportunity to get tagged if you were Garapolo?

Starting job will be earned over the rest of the season, but seriously, could he be any worse than whose had the job?

Not gonna lie, thier starting qb's have been pretty much a dumpster fire at best. How does one earn the starting job from the sidelines? If I were him I am not sure if I would sign the tag or not. In pro football that is a huge risk. I probably would. Because of the unknowns of getting a long term deal. The article was basically saying nthat next year would be an audition.

 

That wasn’t the Packers. It was a bunch of dudes ineffective without AR. But good for the rest of us.

 

I just want to say it is very hard to be a Jets fan these days.

 

I have to think the 9ers believe they can sign him and make him the starter. Throwing a pick out the window is dumb..and I do think they can.

This is why the Patriots didn't keep him even with Brady getting older. 22mil is a lot especially for a backup.

 

They had a much larger market before the season started. Could have traded him and kept Brissett, and probably gotten more for Garappalo. Then Garappalo could have earned the starting job this year giving the new team a better cheaper look. But that's not the Patriot way

 

I said the same, Cleveland had offered 2 high picks around March-April for him. They had to take what the market would bear now because they waited.

IMO Jimmy G already earned the starting job if Brady couldn't go..he filled in okay for him last year.

 

Say that to a Browns fan and tell me how much sympathy you get.
