gee, we have to beat the Browns. Steelers are 11 point favorites I'd say 21 point favorites but I don't who's going to play Landry Jones will likely get most of the snaps the week in practice an most of the snaps in the game too. I say 24-14.

 

You are delusional if you think the Pats are a clean playing team. They have a rep in the league and track record of dirty playing, and have been caught cheating. Your hero Gronk even proved it the other day when he decided to throw a pity party. Gronk and Brady are some of the biggest crybabies when things don't go their way.

I know I'm late to the jimmy g party, but jimmy g and the forty niners have played damn well in these last 4 games.

 

I never said that the Pats play clean; it's football. Bad hits, lost tempers, bad calls...every team out there has their share of penalties and players violate the rules all the time in a given season. I'm saying that you're delusional if you think that every other team in the league doesn't do the exact same stuff. Every. Single. Team. in the league has been caught cheating, but nobody cares nearly as much if it's Cleveland, Buffalo, Houston, San Francisco, etc. vs if they think that New England might be doing it. As for a record of dirty play, the Patriots are regularly one of the least penalized teams in the league. You can about the refs being in their pocket if you want, but it's a fact. They get their share of bad calls, and of missed calls, same as every other team. But you can stomp your feet and roll around on the floor about how unfair it is if you want, it's cool.

Controlling the ball all the way to the ground in order for it to count as a completion isn't an insidious rule, it's one of the primary rules of the league. If the ground causes the ball to move as the receiver lands, it's an incomplete pass. Doesn't matter if it's in the end zone or on the 50. The Steelers definitely would have won if Big Ben hadn't made that terrible decision to throw into triple coverage in the end zone, though. Got lucky there.

 

It'd have to be once Belichick retires too, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens within a couple of years of each other. As the man that's coached the Pats through their entire 'dynasty' era, he's just as much of a figurehead as Brady.
Always makes me chuckle when they throw up a list during a game of all of the coaches that have come and gone in the AFC east in the last 20 years, though. 21 coaches for 3 teams since 2000. Crazy.

 

Yeah, ok. That’s why every analyst and former NFL player on TV says he’s the best coach in the NFL and some say the best ever.

I’ve never seen a coach take a bunch of average Joe’s and win Superbowls with them which Belichick does on a regular basis. He takes undrafted players like Welker, Woodhead, Amendola and makes them look like first round draft picks. That’s just 3 off the top of my head. There isn’t any other coaches out there doing anything like that. Half the coaches in the NFL can’t get ACTUAL 1st round draft picks to perform.

 

I seriously hope you’re kidding. That’s the Browns. He inherited a ton of shit when he got that job and they wouldn’t let him run the show. Hence he left Cleveland and started building his empire.

It’s not just his coaching. It’s his maneuvering in the off season and his draft picking. He is the Man. And I’m not even a Patriots fan. I’m a Panthers fan.

 

On the other hand, though, the Pats went 11-5 back in '08, without Brady playing any games because of that knee injury he took during the season opener against KC. Also went 3-1 last season, behind a backup QB (and his backup, too)
