    $10K wave, sheesh

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones waved a cheeky “bye-bye” to the Dallas Cowboys’ defense Sunday as he went on to score a franchise record-tying touchdown but NFL officials weren’t as amused with the playful taunt that went with it.

Jones confirmed Friday that he was fined $10,527 by the league for “taunting/ unsportsmanlike conduct” after he gestured at cornerback Byron Jones as he finessed his way past him and into the end zone to score his fourth touchdown of the game in the third quarter, ESPN reported.

The league fined Winovich $7k for tossing his first TD ball into the stands Thursday night.

Crazy what they don't allow these days.

That's a bit much. Maybe thinking the ball beans somebody, and they sue for millions and try for permanent disability?

Crazy. That is encouraged in Baseball. I'm sure the footballs cost more, but I'm guessing the League can afford the money. Of course, the fans at football games can be a tad more rowdy. Could be the League is worried about a big scrum if a ball is thrown into the stands. I don't hear about guys getting fined handing it to an individual.

Could be. Odds are the NFL doesn't want anybody making money off of official game balls but them

Yeah, Babushka Newton has been handing them over for years and I haven't heard about the league fining him for it. So it probably does have something to do with the method of delivery.

Personally, I'm surprised Winovich tossed it; if I'd just scored my very first NFL TD I'd have that ball on my mantle.

That fine is completely bullshit. Had he flipped him the bird, made some derogatory gesture, etc.. I MIGHT understand. That wave was just good old fashioned shit talking. It’s a shame

I think throwing the ball into the stands has been a fine for a long time.

Still... nothing beats the Randy Moss fake moon on GB fans. Best part of that was the post interview when he received his fine...

"Hell next time I might just whip my d**k out." Priceless.

There is no fine for this. From what I have read, the NFL is worried about fan injury/lawsuit when a ball is thrown or kicked into the stands.
