And all season long it's been "they're great but what about Garappolo?" Not noticing that he has the highest 3rd down completelion percentage in the league. The dude makes the throws he needs to when tasked to do so, otherwise he just runs the plays that get called. Did you see that pitch he made falling down when the center stepped on his foot? It's fucking refreshing to see our qb hit guys time after time instead of missing wide open recievers over and over. Calm in the pocket. He's now 16-2 as an nfl starter. There's going to be a bad game before the season is over but even great QB's have them. This guy is a keeper, baby.

 

Hey 9er fans... Enjoy it while it lasts, an 8-0 start is nothing to sneeze at and from the games I have seen they are ‘FOR REAL’! Just counting this seasons opponents, more real than the Patriots. A strangle hold on the NFC with home field advantage in their control.
I remember when the Cardinals were in the NFC East, they were a perennially bad team that gave the Eagles trouble every time they played.

The schedule complaint is beyond the control of the teams and solely on how owners run their teams and how the teams perform. People jump on that bandwagon whenever it suits them.

An example, no one is complaining the Steelers/Ravens play the Bengals and Browns twice a year. Just because the Pats are doing what any team should be doing in similar circumstances, and achieving good numbers in points scored, takeaways, defensive performance, everyone gonna say “look how weak their schedule is”. It’s a lame argument IMHO.

 

No one is claiming that the Steelers are a great team, with a great defense. Nor the Browns, nor the Bengals. We're only talking the Pats, with a Patsy schedule.

 

Pats have by far the lowest strength of schedule through the first half of the season. Sure it’s out of their control, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t at least partially the reason their defense looks so good so far.

 

Dolphins and Bengals have had the hardest schedule, obviously.

 

That's true but we also play the pats, the ravens, the aints, year after year.

 

And the Pats play the NFC Champion year after year.

Since your record determines who gets home field advantage it's anything but lame. What happens in the afc & nfc title games has much to do with who you have to face along the way and where you have to face them. Yes it's beyond the control of every team but don't pretend for a minute it has no significance.

The complaints of a weak schedule are lame. Teams play the schedules they get.
