Not so fast! That Niners position is not set in stone. I'm betting they lose to Baltimore this weekend. Hawks will beat the Vikings on Monday night (in Seattle) and then it'll be Hawks on top!

We already beat em at their stadium, they'll have to come to Seattle for the final game of the season

ah yes. The ‘Hawks have always been the most underrated team of all time. They “suck” in spite of always either winning the NFC West or being second/a solid wildcard team. Meanwhile the Niners sucked so bad last year they finished third in the division which gave them the Panthers, Deadskins, and Packers for opponents this year. Then add to the fact that the NFC west plays the horrible AFC north and mediocre (at best) NFC south and you have an easy 8 wins (the only notable teams being Ravens and Packers). The Rams and Cardinals blow this year so there’s another potential 4 easy wins. The only challenges to their schedule would be the ‘Hawks (x2), Green Bay, Ravens, possibly the Saints are a float from the aforementioned easy wins.

but yeah, the Niners are a franchise again after being in the NFC cellar for the past 4 years.

9ers have a lot of ground to make up after several years of being crushed by the Hawks.

 

Whats even funnier is he bashed the 49ers for their easy schedule, all the while failing to note the Seahawks play a nearly identical schedule.



The only difference is the 9ers play the Packers and Redskins, while Seattle plays the Vikings and Eagles.

 

Clearly you fail to see the context. The NFC west plays the the NFC South and AFC north this year so they play the same 8 teams. What I’m implying is that it’s a lot easier to get to at least 8 wins than people give credit for.

Niners got the Deadskins and GB (really good and really shitty teams) while Seattle drew Vikings and Eagles (both at somewhat decent). For the record GB and MIN have the same record while the Eagles are 5-6 compared to the 3-8 Redskins.

At least with Seattle, they have been CONSISTENT over the past 6 years or so (probably since the start of the Pete Carroll years). The 9ers have basically sucked balls and one season they have a breakout year related to a slack schedule and people want to assume they are dominating force to be wreckoned with? I give the Patriots a much bigger claim to that fame.

Seattle is pretty much the San Antonio Spurs of the NFL. Always underrated. No one ever wants to go there. Always deemed a “fluke”. Never a serious contender. But somehow always seemed to make the postseason, throw some big upsets, make deep runs, and even a couple super bowl trips. Meanwhile the Niners make it out the basement for one season and it’s, “OMG Garoppolo is the second coming of Montana!” Lol

PS. Seattle DID beat SF...in SF. Last game is in Seattle. My money is still on Seattle. Even though SF will finally have some decent teams to play in NO and Baltimore. Look for them to be 10-3 before too long

You should check current demographics. Seattle and some other major cities have a higher percentage of people sucking balls as you are referring to than SF.

Yeah we did beat them at home, but they will have Kittle back next time. I look at this being a very very close game again. Super glad to have the SF/SEA rivalry back.
