    Backup center and right guard/tackle(?) now. The teamwork and timing(not to discount skill level) of the group is key for both run blocking and pass protection and both have taken a hit since we started getting injuries. The O-line hasn't been at full strength since week 4. The center is done for the year, Staley and McGlinchey still aren't back up to their previous levels. I think it also has to do with defensive game plans that stuff the box more. It opens up the passing some but they probably feel that they don't stand a chance unless they first limit the run game. Jimmy G still has room to improve given his limited on-field experience so teams are trying to capitalize on his occasional picks by forcing the niners to throw in order to win. I'm fine with that. They don't always win but they are always there at the end.

    For such a sieve like O line, J.G. still gets the ball down field enough for a field goal win. Unbelievable. My assessment of J.G. has changed from the beginning of the season. With defenders all over him, he's in the game until it's over. He's not Russell Wilson as far as mobility, but he's keeping them in the game. If they didn't have such protection issues, the guy would pick teams apart. I think he's a good QB. And, what a pickup Emmanuel Sanders was!

    That was a good game and I'm sure NorCal is laughing it up but congrats and I'm actually glad LA is eliminated because if you can't win this game then they weren't going anywhere in the playoffs anyway.

    The good news was any sucker that took SF in Vegas lost $$$ as LA kept it close.

    .. and the color scheme for LA, they need to forget the 50s blue and white and the 2K navy and gold ... just stick with the blue/yellow from 80 n 90's those home and away uniforms are by far the best.
