well seems like the SJ Sharks (nhl team for anyone unsure) will play 3 home games this month (march for anyone unsure) without peoples in the stands...

hopefully this all clears up soon honestly, but if the NHL and NBA go down this road I suspect the NFL and MLB will not be far behind

Wonder if they will be cancelling the in-person draft? You know they wouldn't do that as it is a HUGE revenue stream for the NFL.

NBA has already told owners and players to prepare for games with no fans. This should be over before the NFL season, but MLB could be impacted... or they could limit the amount of people at a game.

Will anybody notice if MLB has a sparse showing?

Some teams will. NY and Boston are two teams that typically fill. Everyone else? I know my Giants haven't been filling except for weekend games for a few years.

Dodger and Angel games are always packed... if no crowds should neatralize home advantage imo.

    [IMG] © TheWrap Rob-Gronkowski WWE

Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has officially signed with WWE, an insider told TheWrap exclusively. The ex-NFL great is set to debut one week from Friday on the March 20 episode of Fox's "SmackDown."

Gronk is also due to appear at April 5's WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, Fla., the insider told TheWrap. Current plans call for that appearance to be part of a build-up to a future match. In other words, the three-time Super Bowl champion will not have a match at the Super Bowl of professional wrestling — this year, at least.

The "SmackDown" debut makes sense for Gronk, who joined Fox Sports in October as an NFL analyst. Reps for Fox Sports did not immediately respond to TheWrap's question on if the WWE deal will impact Gronkowski's NFL gig.
Gronkowski has previously appeared on WWE programming, most notably at WrestleMania 33 as reinforcement for his real-life friend Mojo Rawley, who also played in the NFL.

His family is a big wrestling family. Something about his dad was in the business, best friends are in the business. I can't find the article, but it was about how WWE is recruiting pro-athletes and college athletes who likely won't be picked up by pro teams to cross over to the WWE or other pro wrestling platforms. Since their bodies are already accustomed to the rigors of the job they figure it is a perfect fit.
    NVM... Found it https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27294950/when-your-nfl-career-try-pro-wrestling

"Dean Muhtadi, a former unrestricted free agent who went to training camp with the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals, got his start in pro wrestling through Gordon Gronkowski, the Gronk family patriarch.

Gronkowski was college roommates with Mike Rotunda, a longtime WWE performer and now a behind-the-scenes producer. A simple phone call put Muhtadi on track to chase a long-held dream of his to get in the ring."

It's like they've gone on strike only I don't feel bitter and resentful against a bunch of crybaby millionaires who need to STFU for making stupid money to play a game.

I'm having difficulties processing my feelings over decisions that are measured, logical, and for the greater good - as opposed to the normal, selfish ones I'm used to seeing.

I bet he'll mainly be doing appearances. Don't see him taking much if anything in the bump department.

Local news is saying it’s down to TB and NE for Brady.

I’d love to know the REAL story if he ends up in TB..

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
So they approved the 17 game schedule with higher salaries, larger roosters and the use of marijuana will no longer incur a suspension.

i still think he stays a Pat, though if he goes down to TB I bet he ends up becoming part owner of a few sports teams...
a slice of positive news in the midst of chaos and confusion, does this effectively mean no more bye week??

If they approved pot, then it becomes the "we got high" week.
