    Ya. Roy almost ended up cat chow one night....


    Few will forget when a white tiger viciously attacked magician Roy Horn in 2003 during Siegfried & Roy's Las Vegas show.

    The attack ended the careers of Horn and his partner, Siegfried Fischbacher, as an audience of 1,500 watched 400-pound tiger Montecore bite Roy and drag him offstage.

    The explanation has always been that Roy suffered a stroke, and the tiger reacted to protect him.

    Now, trainer Chris Lawrence has spoken out to The Hollywood Reporter, claiming Roy himself is to blame for the accident.

    In a long interview, Lawrence says Horn was spending too little time with the tigers before shows, eroding the bond between animal and performer.

    From what I’ve read here, seems like it something I’d be interested in after watching the boulder in my yard turn to sand.

    Replace Collinsworth? Michaels is 75.




    NBC will hire Brees when he is done playing for the New Orleans Saints, according to the New York Post’s Andrew Marchand. Marchand wrote that according to sources, Brees will be “groomed as the potential replacement for Cris Collinsworth.”


    Not only does Brees have a job after his playing days, it sounds like he could be a mainstay on “Sunday Night Football” if everything works out.

    Michaels is the announcer... Collinsworth is color commentator. Two different jobs requiring different pedigrees.

    Announcers come from broadcast backgrounds... color commentators usually are ex players or coaches. One does play by play and the other fills the gap between plays with on the fly analysis of what just happened.

    Michaels will be replaced by someone with broadcast experience. Best ones out there right now are a few of the CBS play callers. One or two at fox as well. But my vote for his replacement would be Kevin Harlan. He always ends up doing JAX or MIA so I've heard a lot of his work. Real good announcer. Even works well with Rich Gannon.
