    WTF just happened with the replay rules in the in the detroit atlanta game? I thought there is a 10 second run off for all reviews when the offense doesn't have a Time out?

    According to the rules... 1. The spiking play to stop the clock at :04 immediately after the pass NEVER HAPPENED. 2. A replay review was called for before the snap because once a snap happens you cannot review a play. 3. They reviewed the play and the clock SHOULD be at 0:09 seconds...Now if it's incomplete the ball goes back to the original line of scrimmage, 2nd down 0:09 left. If it is completed, because the clock would be ticking AND the offense has no time outs the clock automatically gets a 10 second run off. They completely fucked that up...
    Yet somehow there is 0:04 left WITH a running clock after the ruling? WTF??
    No dog in this fight, just wondering what the hell the league is doing.
    I don't know any other explanation...
    But I do know if the patriots were on offense the game would be automatically over :)

    But that's the RULE. They wrote it. You can't arbitrarily enforce the run off. You can't do a replay if a play is run. They got the spike play off before the replay was called for. That's what I saw...and then they travel back in time to BEFORE the spike play and then review? And then factor in the spike play clock time?

    That would be total bullshit for the Lions though. They decide to do a booth review, so you lose? I don't care about the Lions. I just think it was the right way to handle it


    Seems like a stupid rule. I agree that it should be consistent though.
