I'm gonna get a lot of hate fodder for this...

So... I lived in JAX from 98-01 when they were playing great football. I started to lean toward fandom in the 99 season when the only team they couldn't beat was the pesky Titans. I then proceeded to casually watch as they ignited the dumpster fire they eventually became. The original owner was tired and the new owner just wanted to try to get an NFL team to Europe.

Now... I have a bit of hope for the franchise. Sure... a lot of what they are doing is a bit gimmicky to try to bump up ticket sales... but I like the fact they seem to be trying to be competitive again.

For the first time in 20 years I have Jaguar gear and have scheduled to go to the Falcons game in late November ( my friend going with me is an ATL fan).

Let the flaming begin.

 

I wouldn't say its gimmicky. Urban has a reputation to uphold, and isn't going to let that crash and burn at the mercy of Jacksonville.
