I think they try to put the good teams on Sunday night and the bad teams on Thursday playing the Vikings.

 

Refs obviously want Green Bay to win this one too.

Surprised that the Bears haven't rolled and played dead yet

 

My fandom enjoyed even the non-Chefs games today. Bucs/Bills was an incredible game. Almost feel sorry for Buffalo. Almost. Cincy/SF and even DAH Bears/Packers was mostly competitive.

 

Last week on the SiriusXM NFL channel, Keyshawn Johnson talking about the Steelers and how it’s ok for every franchise to have a bad season, “you know like when the Patriots loaned the East to the Bills last year…”

 

Watching the Bills this season, it almost seems like they can't win those tough games. Those games where not everything is going right. They don't have that grit to push through a tough game.

 

Buffalo needs a more defined running game and they would be AFC SB favorites IMO.

 

It’s not grit.. it’s the fact that they are one sided. Either they throw or Allen runs the ball. easily defended and the latter leaves your qb in a boot.

I love the bills. They are my second team but they are doing the exact same thing Dallas is doing right now.

 

I agree with both of these. They have zero adjustment when the game goes south.

I agree that the conservative play after building a lead is absolutely maddening. Guts or brains, blowing a lead seems to be Shanahan's thing from two Superbowl losses to regular season games. I'm never comfortable with these guys having a two or three score lead in the 4th quarter, because I know it's going to evaporate. Every game coming down to the wire is ridiculous. Add Robbie Gould losing his touch, and we'll be lucky to finish .500 this season.

The refs are definitely favoring the Rams. That stupid PF on the elbow to the helmet trying to avoid the tackle. Murrays two INT's are not helping though.

Yeah, I was actually glad that the Bengals got the ball first. If we had it he would have just played for a field goal and again put it on the defense to win it. It’s Shanahan that’s the one that needs to play 4 quarters of offense. There are way too many average and above teams that will eat you alive if you let them back in a game by repeatedly giving them chances. The secondary is improving but still nowhere the near contending status they hoped for before both starting corners went down so asking the defense to hold the line an entire half is unrealistic. And special teams haven’t won them any games either(they recovered those fumbles but didn’t cause them, that’s on the Bengals). They can be entertaining but even if they hang onto a WC spot I don’t see them beating the better teams. Too conservative when ahead and lousy pass blocking when behind. Jimmy was great on that last drive but he’s also way to easy to contain and sack when the blocking breaks down even a little.

 

Seriously? A more defined running game isn’t gonna prevent blowing a 20 point lead.

Our coaching sucks at time too! Why didn't Murray spike it before the last play? The Cards definitely got out coached overall.
