This is the most gaslighting-esque defense I’ve ever read

 

Considering it’s not a defense I have to wonder why. I haven’t disagreed with any of the criticism or punishment directed at DA. I find the comparison to “an office job” or any other work environment pretty laughable though. Players routinely blow up at each other both in games and in practice without consequence. The level of emotional investment required virtually guarantees it. These aren’t the players that were the best “sports”, they’re the ones who fought harder than the rest to be there.
I applaud the notion that they be adults about it but it’s a violent sport played by the men most accomplished at it. And they’re not taught graciousness. Ask Sean Payton about that.
I’ve had my own experience with the difference between a cultivated winning attitude vs sportsmanship and it’s not the polite one. Go ahead and heap all the derision you want on him, he deserves it. But don’t think for a minute that it’s in any way surprising.

Just trying to decipher...whatever all that was.

 

These players are paid large sums of money to be violent to each other. The cameraman is not, and absolutely should not expect an intentional hit to occur while he is doing his job. Accidental hits are one thing, and the player usually goes out of their way to make sure they've not done damage.

I don't see how this is an arguable stand.

If you watched the whole ending Adams was throwing a fit and his helmet. I am sure photographer was sent over to get a good shot of him. The photographer ran in front of him, and he got pushed. Big deal. What is BS is him going to hospital and calling cops. Does anyone think he is actually injured? What is Adams going to get. $1000 fine. He wipes his ass with $1000. Dick move to push him but why was he that close anyways? Because he wanted a good shot of Adams acting the fool.

No, you’re wrong. One employee in the workplace committed assault on another employee in the workplace in the throes of a childish tantrum. Adams acted with intent out of his frustration with how the game went, and took that frustration out on the first convenient victim he happened upon.

He’s LUCKY to get misdemeanor assault.
