    I understand it’s the way the NFL is set but there are at least 2 divisions where the leading team is 500 or worse. That said, I hate seeing these teams in the playoffs. As it stands, Dallas (10-4) would play Tampa (6-8?) at Tampa in first round… that’s just WRONG!

    Sucks doesn’t it. Used to be the NFC west had the better teams before the collapse of the Rams and Seahawks. Take consolation in that there are now 3 wild card teams and that weak division is keeping more teams in the hunt to the end. Don’t want to start on the road? Win your division. If Dallas is that good then win through despite the adversity. Used to be the case a team like Dallas would be out in the cold with no playoff hopes at all. At least it’s not college where it’s a popularity contest. Granted a division leader isn’t usually this weak but it’s not like the NFC east hasn’t had .500 teams duking it out before while the rest of the league watched in amusement.
