I'm looking at teams that are pretty good on defense so Brady wouldn't have to do a lot and have QB uncertainty or could be fine with having someone sit for a year or two. Niners are absolutely in play, could have Lance heal up and learn being the goat with Purdy the backup until Lance is good to go. Issue there is off the field, with his kids being back on the east coast. Offense is already damn good without him. They'd be betting favorites for sure.

Next up is the Jets. #4 defense, some pieces on offense starting to come on. But does he not only go against his HOF team, but the fans as well? I doubt it.

    Commanders? Lol

Raiders the defense sucks ass. He'd have to constantly be the hero and hope they can draft well next year.

Dolphins have some of the same problems the Jets bring with his legacy, but the offer was out there before and they've only gotten more talented. Defense needs work though, but he keeps his taxes down, close to the kids still, and tries to put his stamp against Belicheck. Does Miami bail on Tua with his injury history? They were prepared to do it earlier.

I think it's Bucs #1, Dolphins #2, Niners #3. Why Bucs? Familiarity, shit division, Glazers are willing to give him what he wants.

Not this year unless it is a trade.

Wow, you're right. They are going to be in cap hell.

I think they already kicked the can as far down the road as they could. Time to dismantle and try for #1 pick in 2024 :D

IIRC Mike was banged up if not out several games early in the season, perhaps a ripple effect. Though I do see what you mean, he has a great game and then a few pedestrian ones.

I don't want to see him go out like Brett Favre did. My surmise is if he comes back it will be to a place he sees a real chance to win another ring now.

My friend is a lifelong Raiders fan and is cringing over this thought.

Another interesting one, plus they aren't horrible in rushing so takes some heat off

Lamar will not be a raven next year. They offered a measly $250 mil. They could franchise tag him for $45 mil.

Issue is the draft capital required to get him, and you're doing that without a guarantee he'll sign.

There are no good places for him in weak divisions. The most attractive teams are going to place him in competition with the best teams. Raiders or Seattle put him against Mahomes or the Niners, Miami or the Jets and it’s Buffalo. I don’t see him ducking from these teams at all, in fact I think he would relish it.

He’s been in a competitive division because of good teams maybe 3 years in his career. He just wants to get to the playoffs

Plus, is it wise to invest that much in him at this point (either figure, I don't care)? He's not a kid anymore, scrambling QBs don't have as long a shelf life and he's been injured the past several years.

This isn’t most of his career, it’s the last stop. With 3 wild card teams per conference now it’s better to be on a team with a real shot than being first on a team with none.

With that offer from fox on the table I don’t see him playing for losing teams but you could be right, he’s already sacrificed his marriage so hell, make us rip those cleats off his cold dead feat or bury him in them. He’s the goat, he gets to do it as long as he can get a contract.

I hope he keeps playing, because Greg Olsen is good in that role.

Prediction: Brady signs a two-year deal with the Raiders. In year one, they fail to make the playoffs after going 7-10. He is then sacrificed into the not-actually-always-on Eternal Flame of Al Davis just prior to the draft. The Raiders proceed to have a losing record for the next 23 years before moving to Portland.

I don’t believe Brady would actually be on the broadcast as an analyst. The money doesn’t make sense for that. I think it’ll be more of a Peyton manning role, develop some programming, rights to his next documentary or whatever.

That was how the deal was presented, to be the lead analyst. To pay him that much money, you want him in prime viewership position the same as Joe and Troy were. He'll obviously do the other stuff as well, but Fox needs him front and center.
