Game tied at the end of the 3rd Qtr with 2pt conversion.

I am anticipating a very hard-fought exciting AFC late game this Sunday!

The NFC Championship will be good too...for some reason, the AFC game seems more evenly matched.

Flacco wasn’t exactly along for the ride on that super bowl run. His playoff numbers were about as good as you can get.

I think both games will de close. I think Cinci wins due to Mahomes injury.
The NFC is a toss up IMO, both teams are good. SF has a better defense, Phila has a better offense…

Yea I think if Bengals show up they will win

As lackluster as the niners offense was against Dallas, they better get their shit together this weekend against Philly if they want to stand a chance

I'm leaning that way with Cincy. Both QBs will definitely determine who wins. The QB who makes the fewest mistakes will have a good chance of winning.

#1 Offense vs #1 Defense for sure!

I believe Defensive Plays will play a critical role in both games.

Purdy is doing well but will be tested against Philly's D. He needs to get rid of the ball (passing) within 3 seconds--any more than that and he's in trouble.

I'm a west coast guy from SoCal/LA so I'm going with the Niners.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    And so it begins...

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/dallas-cowboys-making-changes-rb-014659264.html

The Dallas Cowboys are making staff changes following the season-ending loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Playoffs.

Coach Mike McCarthy, whose job is secure per owner Jerry Jones, has decided to part ways with six coaches, including running backs coach Skip Peete, senior defensive assistant/linebacker coach George Edwards, offensive line coach Joe Philbin, assistant defensive line coach Leon Lett, assistant head coach Rob Davis and quality control analytics coach Kyle Valero.

All were members of McCarthy’s initial staff when he was hired in 2020.

A few other coaches whose contract are expiring at the end of the 2022 season could be let go as well, per source.

Edwards’ departure likely makes defensive passing game coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. the in-house favorite to replace Dan Quinn as defensive coordinator if he takes a head coaching job.

Quinn is a top candidate with the Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts.

Peete’s departure doesn’t seemingly bode well for the future of running back Ezekiel Elliott. The two have a close relationship through Elliott’s agent Rocky Arceaneux.

It stands to reason they would be keeping Peete if they were going to keep Elliott, who is expected to make $10.9 million in 2023.

The Cowboys will at least ask Elliott to take a pay cut. But the team can save roughly $5 million by releasing him.

Philbin had long history with McCarthy. He previously served as McCarthy’s offensive coordinator in Green Bay during two different stints, first from 2007-11 and then again in 2018. He rejoined the Packers after two seasons as the assistant head coach/offensive line for the Indianapolis Colts (2016-17) and four seasons as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins (2012-15).

Philbin originally joined the Packers on Feb. 10, 2003 as assistant offensive line coach, and he spent 2004-05 as tight ends/assistant offensive line coach, 2006 as offensive line coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in January 2007.

McCarthy is cutting long-standing ties with Davis, a long-time NFL deep snapper (1993-2008) and former player and director of player engagement with the Packers (2008-17).

Lett, a former Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman who won three Super Bowl titles and earned two Pro Bowl berths during his 10-year run with the club, had been with the team as an assistant defensive line coach since 2011.

    Agreed.

It was a close game. Sadly, I believe the offense is what hurt them in the 4th quarter.

    EDIT:
1st Qtr INT from Prescott netted a FG. 3-0 SF
2nd Qtr Dallas TD but extra point was blocked. 6-3 DAL
2nd Qtr SF drives to score FG. 6-6
2nd Qtr Prescott threw his second INT inside 20. Niners cash in with FG. 9-6 SF
3rd Qtr Niners first turnover on Special Teams.
3rd Qtr Dallas FG. 9-9. Lamb had a great catch in this Qtr.
3rd Qtr Kittle made his outrageous catch...sparked the team.
    4th Qtr TD SF. 16-9
4th Qtr FG by Dallas. 16-12
4th Qtr FG by SF. 19-12
4th Qtr SF's Elijah Mitchell should NOT have went out of bounds.
4th Qtr Schultz did not drag his second foot; not a catch.
4th Qtr Elliott gets toppled over by defense as Prescott throws pass/time runs out.

    Final SF 19, Dal 12

    Ouch report.....

According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Bengals have ruled out offensive linemen Jonah Williams and Alex Cappa for the AFC Championship Game.

    Meanwhile, KC has Mahomeys ankle.

He needs to win a SB to be crowned.

Would he be the youngest QB to win a SB?

If he were to meet Purdy in the SB, he would have the edge...with the experience from last year.

It would be like traveling to Nihilon.

Mahomes is the 'old man' this championship weekend (27 years old ... Burrow is 26, Hurts is 24, and Purdy is 23)

He’s got a head coach that could out eat all the other head coaches too.

    Thanks for that!

All these players are younger than both my daughters! (32 & 28)

I'm pulling for Burrow & Purdy.

I've watched both SBs many times and appreciate the history between the 2 ball clubs.

Bill Walsh was an Expert in both campaigns.

Is it Cincy's turn to make history?

First...those Niners have to get past the Eagles in Philly.

And Bengals have to get a win in KC.

    It can be done.

If Purdy pulls it off, and Burrows joins him...man, what a game that would be.

Those two games against Cincy were the only two of the 5 that were close. Either team could have won.
