This guy was the last pick in the draft.

 

Not writing them off but it gets progressively harder from here on. Dallas can’t afford any more losses like AZ and only 2 left against the likes of the Giants and Panthers.

 

Tebow was a first round pick. Maybe the later picks are better

 

On the season thus far perhaps (without looking at stats) but part of that is the fluff job New England gave them last week.

Strange how it works, sometimes lesser viewed people try harder for instance.

Ryan Leaf was #2 overall. Never a sure thing.

 

Tony Pollard just broke his leg and had tightrope surgery on his ankle in January after the 49er playoff game. Cowboys should have taken that into account with their depth at RB.

 

They spread it around. It was a balanced approach to getting egg all over your faces. Purdy just kept finding whoever you hadn’t taken away that play. All the skill players were still effective. I think the question is whether any of the other middlin teams can do what AZ did not whether Dallas can whoop ass on the Giants and Panthers.

Honorable mention to Johnny Manziel. I know he was a 22nd pick but what a joke.

 

There’s a provision for awarding a touchdown. I have to come down on the side that a pf to prevent one should trigger it. Find another way, horse collars were banned because they’re directly tied to injuries(broken legs and in Jerry Rice’s case a blown out knee). You can’t prevent all injuries but causing one should never be preferable to giving up a TD. Other choices might be variations on the penalty box in hockey. As is there are only ejections or full/multi game suspension and nothing short of that. Tie them to the clock or where they occur on the field.

 

Can’t leave Jim Druckenmiller of that list of facepalm picks.

 

Dallas Defense let me down big time and i am still pissed. Man, losing Overshown in preseason and replacing him with a dollar Tree player is going to bite Jerry in the ass. LVE is out which is a good thing. His play was getting worse game by game. Anyway, Dallas needs a LB or two. I am curious as what Jerry will do? As for the offense it is pretty clear that Dak sucks. If I was Lamb, I would be pissed too. Get Ceedee the ball do not turn him into another Amari Cooper and disappear in big games due to lack of targets.

It’s a violent sport any way you play it but calling an intentional pf a good idea under the circumstances is hardly different from Sean Payton and the Saints going head hunting to knock out players. If that coach were my kid I’d wack him upside the head and stuff it in a toilet. I still can’t fathom Payton even being allowed anywhere near players after that crap. Banning Pete Rose for life for gambling and allowing shit like this? Integrity my ass.

 

Solid thoughts. I don't like the way that went down Monday either but the way it's done right now made it a wise idea..which shouldn't be the case.
