    Both teams still have to approve the deal on a trade. Free agents on the other hand have the option of taking less money for the opportunity to win a ring. That’s not happening mid season unless the player surrenders guaranteed money. Yeah, right.

    Definitely, and in further thinking Adams has 3 more years on a fat contract so that's a barrier. Randy Moss agreed to a retooled contract before the Patriots trade was done I believe too.
