Any chance Sam Darnold gets the start this weekend?

 

Seems like this year it’s a tale of attrition and he’s the latest casualty. My hope is that we learned more from the loss than the Ravens did from the win and it isn’t too costly otherwise.

 

Not unless the Purd is injured I'd wager. That was one ugly game. They probably want to see how he comes back.

 

I think the Ravens are on another level.

But thanks to their win, the Lions are now in a 3-way tie for 1st in the NFC! Weird to say at this point in the season.

 

Did the Ravens get ahold of the 49ers playbook? That was a beat down. Even the 49ers defense seemed to be confused and taking the night off. Either the Ravens are that good or the 49ers were sleepwalking through the game. Full credit to the Ravens for showing up in all three phases, kicking a-ss and taking names.

Big no. I don’t see Purdy having a worse game than he had. Ravens were just the better team. It’s good the Niners had this out of the way now than in the playoffs. Would’ve been nice to win a game against Washington and rest the starters the last game of the year. But also good to have some adversity going in to the playoffs. A little humble pie can do them good.

 

I think the Ravens are probably the best team in the NFL this year. They obliterated Detroit earlier this season as well as Seattle who Detroit went to OT with around that same time.

They certainly were on that day. We’ll see if it was repeatable. I think Purdy learns more from this than from a win though and he doesn’t strike me as the type that will run and hide from shame.

 

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet from one shit Niner game on Christmas day at that.

The refs should have taken his request to be on defense and not asked to clarify. It’s a simple question and simple answer.

 

I think there’s still resistance to rule changes at lower levels in some areas. Either that or a lack of will to stop it. He wouldn’t be here still doing it otherwise.

I have no interest in either team, but it intrigues me that Joe Flacco is back under center with Cleveland & is having a bit of a renaissance moment. Now I'm curious as to how far he and the Browns can go.
