Great game. GB really need to get their kickers in order. Mason was terrible his last season with them as well if I recall.

As a west coast guy, this is one reason I don’t appreciate living on east coast time.

    It’s 11:30pm and past my bedtime…

Saw that last SF drive and was a bit nervous…Purdy was cool under pressure.

The GB drive was nerve wracking too…but that was a forced throw on the run.

    Lesson learned for GB’s QB.

Nope, ball was slick and hard to throw as accurately but still no pics. Takes faith to believe in your teammates to come through and not force it.

This game was IMO, one of the cleanest officiated games all season. It's disappointing when a game is decided by a bad call or a no call.

What? Like not calling the Packers even once for holding Bosa? Or when Melvin falls on his ass backpedaling but draws a PI on a defender playing the ball? Yeah, no calls and bad calls, sure. Those things always happen, Niners played through both and won anyway.

Seems like there were bad calls that affected both teams. I couldn't blame the L on the refs, just like I can't blame it on a missed FG.

Weather looks pretty decent here in NY. Only like 12 degrees but a warm 12. It should be like beach weather come game time.

Yea yea yea, SF only won by 3 because of the refs. How about the bad spot on 4th down in the red zone, missed offsides, missed intentional grounding? Search the internet and you’ll see it all. Not saying I agree with them (or you). I just don’t think the bad calls were 1-sided. It’s always the refs fault.

Agreed. There’s no such thing as a clean game. Sometimes the refs are absent but call or no call they are still wrong plenty. It’s an impossible job. Niners played poorly but still made the plays on both sides they needed to win which is what you need to do no matter how the game is called.

Despite what the final score would have been with perfect calls, I felt the final score was very reflective of the performance. The Pack came to play and deserved to be in it to the final seconds.

    Totally agree.

Not every foul can be seen.

Flipside, how do refs determine which ones to call at certain times in the game. (I'm sure there's lots of feedback on this statement)

"Let them play" is a term I've heard.

Also, teams have to focus their attention on how to overcome such miscalls.

Dwelling on uncalled fouls seems to destroy a team.

How they react (in play) is the most effective way to move on with the game.

    Switching back to today's game...

    I'm kinda struggling with today's games...more so than yesterday's (which I went 2-0).

I switched from Bucs to Lions because I believe Goff can lead them into the NFC Championship being at home.

As for the Bills/Chiefs game...totally different story.

I like Mahomes but he gets a lot of attention and that is a detractor for me.

On the other hand, Josh Allen is a more subdued player.

Did Allen learn from his prior experiences against Mahomes?

That's the key factor in today's home game for the Bills.

Then again, I'm reading that the Bills Defense is a battered up...which could mean Allen will have to lead the charge to win this game.

Of course, Allen can't do this alone--he has to be surrounded by players who follow his lead and utilize their skills to succeed.

Both games will be exciting to watch; I'm looking forward to the late game not going past 10pm. (hopefully)

Enjoy the games today...and as cliche' as it may sound, "May the best teams win!"

Some serious holding at that. I'll take the win even though they played ugly. Often times a week's "rest" doesn't seem to be that beneficial for a team. Niners were out of sync. Greenlaw should have stayed on the ground in my opinion after the pick. They had the game in the bag at that point.
