NFL Trash Talkers Thread

There was a comparison done on ESPN this morning...Lamar Jackson's 2019 MVP year vs this year's Lamar Jackson.

Lamar wasn't quite as vocal then as he is now...leading full-grown men on the biggest stage.

Linebackers will shadow him for a time (keeping him from running) and waiting for him to make a mistake.

I believe if he delivers the ball quickly/decisively, he can keep the Ravens in the game and possibly to victory.

Mahomes is expected to perform exceptional and keep pace in this race to score.

Both Defenses can possibly dictate the pace of the game...but both of these QBs present a threat in their own regard.

Which one of these gentleman will be victorious?

I better decide soon...game starts in just over 3hrs.

 

Im worried with Mark Andrew’s back Lamar might forget about Flowers, Beckham and Likely. BUT with those threats plus his rushing strength, it might be too much for KC. Though, KC has the refs on their team and Mahomes is a great playmaker. Reminds me of Big Ben, being able to make something from nothing. If I remember right, they both have the same look while running

I may be biased for the Ravens though

 

I can’t believe how hard I’m pulling for the Ravens being a Bengals fan, but I hate the damn chiefs. Not even for their success or the refs or whatever, but holy shit their media presence is annoying. I don’t care about Kelce or Mahomes and their damn commercials, I don’t care about Taylor Swift, I’m tired of them being forced down my throat like I’m tied up at a glory hole.

 

Yeah, but how do you really feel? Just kidding. I'm burned out on fat Andy and the Chiefs, the hype, the commercials, Taylor Swift, Mahomes wife, the cheeseball Indian chants from the fans, Etc. Hoping for a Niner/ Raven Superbowl.

 

I could go on

if it was the Steelers I’d be really torn on who to pull for..

but I’m hoping for Ravens Lions

Yeah, I believe Lamar should be tracking with his Receiving Core...spread the wealth!

Three step drop and "boom", a decisive pass based on how the defense sets up.

It's easy for us to say what "he should do" but we don't have swarming giants and blitzing LB/DBs trying to stop us.

KC has the notoriety and high expectations.

Makes me lean towards Lamar getting over the hump.

But this is a team effort so let's see who plays their best today.

 

As a Niner fan I would like to see that because I think they have a better shot than having to deal with the ravens again

I’m rooting for the two underdogs, but expect the two favorites will win. Willie Gay is out and he would have been the spy guy following Lamar. Thuney is also out (#1 in NFL with 99% pass block win rate). Ravens are home, healthier, extra day rest, and I hate to say it … the better team. But my Chiefs are still the Chiefs and have a shot!

 

21 years ago the AFC Title game QB matchup was Rich Gannon vs Steve McNair. That’s the last time this game didn’t have Brady, Manning, Roethlisberger, or Mahomes in it.
