@HuskerPaul I didn't start watching pro football till my wife's brother took me to a game 79, they played the bears. I never got into pro sports, I enjoyed highschool and college more. I still can't stand pro basketball. My bride is from mpls. Lincoln is a great town, we have the NDSU bison, and UND Sioux hockey. But right now the portal is destroying college sports.

 

Fucking NDSU wrecked havoc on my college (SHSU) for a few years straight in the football championships.. there might or might not still be hard feelings

at the end of the day it's only a game I'm more of a souix fan. When and if they beat the bison I'm happy. But since I live here I'm a winner either way.

Yeah, you are gathering lots of data/info before the big dance!

San Fran already had their Dynasty Decade (1982/85/89/90/95)...and KC, well...they've been to SB 6 times historically (according to Google) with Mahomes being 2-1 since 2020.

Mahomes' third win would get him that much closer to Joe Montana...but Joe is 4-0 in SBs, batting .1000!

I'm not going to be upset if SF loses...just disappointed if Brock Purdy doesn't perform like I think he will.

Soooooo, enjoy the game and I'll try not to be too hard on you if your team loses.

Flipside, I expect you to be on your best behavior about a "dynasty". lol

So before my weekend blitz of trash talk and memes (all in good fun), I'll give a serious analysis. Going into the playoffs I would have graded both the SF offense and KC defense an 'A'. Nothing has changed. I would have given KC offense a 'B' and SF defense an 'A' giving SF the advantage. However, the Chiefs offense has stepped it up and the SF defense hasn't looked their best, and I now give both units a B+. Long story short ... they are pretty even right now. Slight advantage to SF for the 'revenge factor'. Advantage to SF in current health: Omenihu out, Thuney likely out, all 3 RB's on the injury report (only an issue if one goes out for good during the game), Rashee Rice all of the sudden on the report, and OMG, Toney is back (I'm terrified). The only KC advantage I see is experience. I'm not a Purdy hater or doubter, it's just indisputable that Mahomes is at least 'some' advantage at that position in this game.

I'd give SF the slight edge, 3 points or less. The 1.5 betting line (bouncing from 1 to 2) is pretty fair. Hoping for a great game with good refs (won't be perfect, just hope for no game altering bad calls). I don't want to see Taylor Swift at all, but then again, if they show her a lot that might mean Kelce is scoring TD's. Also don't want to see Britney, but for the same reason I'll put up with it.

They ended up 3-3 against each other, but Brady one the important ones.

Andy Reid always scripts the first X amount of plays, and I expect KC to do well for the first half and then be shut down pretty much for the second half. Andy has never been good at in-game adjustments. I think it will be a close game. But, anything can happen. F the 49’ers.
