    But yes you guys will have work to do on defense, be it re-upping or draft/free agency. With any luck your offense is intact re Kelce, the run game of Hunt/Pacheco (whom I like but next year is the test for IP)..and I think Brown/Rice should be solid at wideout.

    On both sides of the ball. KC didn’t stop the Eagles either often enough or when it mattered to keep the game within reach. It took 2 garbage time TDs to get within 3 touchdowns. That’s pretty bad. I did get a kick out of Reid’s debut as a shoe salesman. ;)

    I still think the KC defense did enough to make it a competitive game. There was a pick-6, a 14-yard drive after an INT and a FG after a fumble that was a 3-and-out by the Chiefs D. 17 points totally not their fault, leaving 23 points left off of sustained Eagles drives. Saquon was ‘somewhat’ controlled. Again, not elite defense but if Mahomes doesn’t cough it up 3 times and the O-line played even satisfactory, it would still have been a game into the 4th quarter. Eagles were still the better team yesterday but I lay it all on the KC offensive failure, or maybe the Eagles defensive dominance needs more credit than blaming the KC offense.

    Paul, I don’t know much about football, but that game sure didn’t look competitive to me. It looked like a flat-out execution for the first half followed by a mercy downgrade to the rapey shower scenes from The Shawshank Redemption for the second half.

    Worded better I should have said the KC defense played decent enough it “COULD” have been competitive if the other side of the ballgame wasn’t a slaughter. But a moot point since it was a disaster.

    This topic is definitely debatable. As to the toughest division in the NFL, it has to be the NFC East. It’s the only division every team has won the SB, also every team has won multiple SBs.

    I’m fairly certain the ‘65 Packers would have beaten the ‘65 Bills if they started playing the NFL and AFL champs against each other one year earlier. That said, fewer teams, no free agency or many other parity controls. It’s harder to do now.
