The Pats weren't terrible when they first got Jones. I gave him a chance and in year 3 said it's make or break for him. Got to the point I could count on not if but when he would turn it over at the last couple of minutes. UGH

Mac isn't there to compete for the starting gig. He's there as Shanahan's pet project in the likes of Sam Darnold. Mac will never ascend past Purdy.

And no, Niners did not want Mac Jones over Trey. They wanted Trey and whiffed bad on that one. They even admitted to that mistake.

 

They were interested in both QBs at the time but chose the over-hyped Lance

 

Sure Mac won't challenge Brock, but either way anything more than minimum is too much for this guy. Wish I had a more positive opinion of him and I want to like him but he seems to choke under pressure more than average.

I said after year 1 and year 2 that the team has problems, he might be part of the problem, he might be the biggest problem. Time will tell. Year 3 was the season that he really got bad with the choke jobs.

I was just joking but some of these big lineman are pretty fast in the NFL for their size

 

If he does get drafted, or picked up as a UDFA, I bet the team he goes to will slim him down. He doesn't have the type of frame to support that weight and be effective in the NFL.

 

Maybe a dollar amount per pound lost clause?

While I previously adopted Buffalo as my AFC team due to family allegiances, this move by Mcdermott trying to justify banning the tush push makes me lose all respect for him. He's so full of shit about supporting the ban due to player safety. Precisely zero injuries in four years, and it accounts for something like less than 1% of plays league-wide. Plus, he's run it himself the past few years... yeah- real concerned with player safety

Make sense for the Packers to propose the ban since they're salty that the Eagles beat them twice this past year.

Context- Yes I'm an eagles fan. Yes the eagles execute it to perfection, but that's because they have one of the best O-lines in the league and one of the most powerful QBs in the league from the waist down. Can't stop it and can't run it yourself, so you wanna ban it? Grow up.

Same reason I hate Peyton Manning and Bill Polian, after the Pats played a rough game against them they cried long and loud enough to help get defense rules changed to benefit them
