Here are the Seahawks "Next man up" Off the top of my head, not a complete list.

Richard Sherman... 3rd man up - "When Trufant went on injured reserve after just four games in 2011, he was replaced on the left side by Walter Thurmond. When Thurmond broke his leg two weeks later, the job fell to Sherman.."

    James Carpenter

    Malcolm Smith (Super bowl MVP)

    Walter Thurmond

    Jeremy Lane

    Byron Maxwell

Russell Wilson .. Matt Flynn was the starter but during training camp and the preseason struggles with an arm injury. Russell got time and the rest is history.

Derrick Coleman.. Michael Robinson was very ill and didn't make the team. Coleman was next man up.

I lay some, most, of the blame on the GM. Green Bay hasn't been deep for years. Thompson knows offensive talent no doubt, but he doesn't seem to be able to find the right kind of guy on defense. Never has.

BJ Raji and Clay Matthews have panned out pretty well for them. Missing Raji all year is going to hurt the Packers though.

Mathews is a stud, no doubt. Raji tho is a bit over rated. He had a great year and since then has been average. GB caused some of those issues by moving him around, I will agree he was primed for a big year back at Nose.

However, It takes a lot more than two pieces to make a defense.

If I'm a Dallas fan I'm embarrassed. Not because of the way my team is playing but because the red shirts out number the blue shirts in the stadium ... pathetic. WTG 49er fans. Sounds like a fucking 49er home game.

    Few quick thoughts:

    1) Nice to see Atlanta healthy again. Trufant on D looked good today against the Saints, good kid. (Went to UW) I hope they can stay healthy and give the Saints 2 losses this year. Any news on White's injury?

    2) Dallas looks to be on the road to another 7-9 or 8-8 season. Wouldn't be surprised if it totally collapses and they go 4-12.

    3) SF looks better on offense than I expected but their defense looks suspect, especially against the run. (Anyone would have picked those balls from Romo) I wish Justin Smith was a Seahawk.

    4) K.C. will not sniff the playoffs again this year.

    5) RG III ... complete bust. Need to start Cousins.

    6) I was surprised to see people picking TB over Carolina, even without Newton. Do people forget how good that defense is?

I didnt see the game but this isnt a bad stat line

    29-of-37 for 267 yards

The no touchdowns isnt good but 78% completion percentage is pretty good

19 of 28 for 191 and 2 TD with 30-50 yards on the ground. (Wilson against GB)

That's the stat line he should be putting up..

Maybe I'm spoiled with Wilson but RGIII needs to watch tape of Russell Wilson. When to get down, when to go, when to fake, how to be efficient. Lose the play to win the game. That's almost every game for Wilson.

Any Bucs fans in here? I'm confused.. why did the Bucs go with McCown over Glennon? Didn't Glennon look like a stud last year with a ton of potential?
