    You compared a tire to a football... Even a patriots fan should be able to see that the football is wayyyy smaller and would be less affected by a change in temperature. And 2psi under inflated is a 16% difference which is a pretty big change, so don't try to play it off like its nothing.

    It is nothing. Footballs have it worse as they are landed on and squished with much less rubber than tires, which would account for a change.

    Its all about the volume of air contained, not whats containing it :rolleyes:

    Also, the 1-2psi would be under ideal conditions, as in a perfect transfer of heat from the warmer ball to the colder air, and since the rubber is a buffer the ball will drop in temperature less and thus have less pressure change.

    If you think the reason a tire or ball loses pressure is because air is actually let out you should really go back and retake high school chemistry.

    No, the air compresses/decompresses inside the balls and accounts for less psi. Just like your tires on a cold morning...

    Ive never had a football deflate in a game in my life. I've played in a lot of climates. If this is the case, why doesn't green bay ever get hit with this? Any other northern team? It's odd, because only one team gets caught with it.
