    You're not telling me anything I don't know.

    I never said the penalty was only for helmet to helmet. I said Clay Matthews is a dirty player because he targeted the head of Wilson and hit him with his helmet. The penalty was because Wilson didn't see it coming and it was 100% unnecessary AND because he aimed for the head.

    And actually it doesn't matter where you hit someone when lowering your head and targeting another player with the crown of your helmet. You don't have to make any contact with their helmet.

    "What the rule changes: A 15-yard penalty will be called if a runner or a tackler initiates forcible contact by delivering a blow with the top/crown of his helmet against an opponent when both players clearly are outside the tackle box (an area extending from tackle-to-tackle and from 3 yards beyond the line of scrimmage to the offensive team's end line). Incidental contact by the helmet of a runner or a tackler against an opponent would not be deemed a foul."

    This was not incidental, hence the fine and why Matthews is a dirty player. Also, overrated and winded.

    This morning on the radio I heard about the Pats having an unreal fumble percentage in the past several years. Lorenzo Neal (former FB) is a host on that show and said undoubtedly, when you are carrying the ball, less air means a better grip on the ball, and that you can tell. I found the article online. Either the Pats are THAT good, or.........

    Jerome Bettis said the exact same thing on ESPN. He easily picked out the underinflated ball (out of 3) and said its an absolute advantage to a ball carrier because its easier to keep the ball from being stripped

    x2, actually I'd always liked the Pats until that spying/video of SD's practice which is in violation of NFL rules IIRC, they were a better team than that... or maybe they weren't I dunno but there's just too many reputable NFL guys that would know if under inflated & they're all pointing out that Brady HAD to have known, they figure if they can tell the difference no doubt Brady can too....

    I don't see this going away anytime soon for N.E....

    Correct. They got rid of that rule, and there is only the 15 yard infraction now
