Everyone knew that already but thanks Michael.

It's the only leverage he has... the Seahawks have already said that he has outplayed his contract and that they don't expect him to play at the $7 mil mark that his contract is at right now. It's just a matter of how much they are going to go up.

I would bet money they do a 2-3 year deal with the 1st year fully guaranteed around 9-10 million. The 2nd and 3rd year not guaranteed.

Wow, that really does surprise me. I would think that he doesn't really have a way to make that kind of $$$ anywhere else. Not that everyone is into making money or anything. That plus he is still a great running back.

Lynch is a really smart dude who makes a ton of money in endorsements and clothing, not to mention I've heard he's really good with his money.

Also, because he doesn't talk to the media a lot of people don't know how passionate he is about the youth in Oakland, and his foundation. He could easily retire and through his charity earn a good living all while doing what he really wants to be doing which is working with inner city kids.

Not saying I think he'll retire, but he could and he would be fine.

He doesn't like talking to the media about football, his foundation well that's another thing. He has a great platform to do that thanks to the NFL and I think it would be a noticable hit to them if he retires early from playing.

It's great that he does that for the kids thats for sure.

I listened to the whole 30 minute pod cast from Kawakami. Seems like he and Harbaugh got a long fine, then and now. That's good to see. It appears the Kawakami throughout the season had really good intel and was asking questions that Harbaugh didn't want to or couldn't answer. Now he can. With how fucked up everything was I can't help but feel like people owe Kawakami an apology. He has a job to do and he should be asking the tough questions to get answers... whether they are uncomfortable or not.

    My take-aways:

    1) Harbaugh was fired, it was not mutual. We knew that.

    2) Jed York, and his people, were the source of the "leaks" about all of the locker room discord throughout the season. That is really fucking sad... Jed York threw a season in the garbage with a team that could have made shit happen in the playoffs. Can you honestly believe that?!?

    3) There were coaches who remained loyal, and coaches who did not. Harbaugh specifically references "those coaches loyal to the end."

    4) Harbaugh does not like Jim Tomsula as Tomsula was positioning himself for the job before it was available. We pretty much knew that. Talk about burning bridges.

    5) There wasn't a strategy to keep Kaep in the pocket... weird. Sure looked like it.

    6) Harbaugh was fired after the team lost in Seattle, he decided to coach the last two games.

I just read that Russell Wilson doesn't like 50 Shades of Gray.

Man, I sure do love February.

Seriously... this season was so full of fuckery. I can't imagine owning an organization and trying to make it a failure just to spite someone... someone that revitalized the team from the doldrums.

Thanks to Harboss for kicking ass, and dealing with a power tripping midget

I definitely have more respect for Harbaugh, I also liked that he agreed to to the pod cast with TK.

I don't dispute Harbaugh is a good coach, but it's been said he wears out his welcome wearever he goes. One sports site says:

"Jim Harbaugh has the reputation of being a jackass. A jackass that wins football games. Like many high performers, he tends to wear out his welcome in rather short periods of time. His coaching career, although very successful in winning, has been defined by his rather short stays as the organizations he works for get to a point where they can’t stand him." I heard the same thing on an ESPN sporttalk radio show the other day. I'm not a hater, just saying there's always at least two sides to a story.

I think that's very true. But, we only know that because of all of the media these days. Bill Walsh was equal the pain in the ass but they found a way to keep him around because he kept winning. If Harbaugh would have won one SB he would still be the coach of the 49ers I think.

The list of coaches who are pain in the asses to work with is very long.

Yep, big egos working with big ego owners. Jimmy Johnson comes to mind when he and Jerry Jones split up after he won Jones two Superbowls in four years because they couldn't work together.

We are happy to have Harbaugh back in Ann Arbor- we've been asking for him for years. I'm curious to see if he can manage his temper for the collegiate scene.
