Plus, Gabbert isn't as bad as you think he is. It's just gonna take a while to wash the Jacksonville stank off

He was a reach as a first round QB by a team desperate for a passer and a shitty oline. He's David Carr 2.0.

I'm not saying he's a 20M-franchise-face QB, but he's a solid 3rd or 4th rounder. He can be competent to decent quite easily if you can block for him.

I agree. He didn't look that bad in pre-season. I think the rest of the O has lost faith that Kap can get it done. An occasional big bomb pass play doesn't cut it when you throw wild most of the game.

Most of the sacks are on him, the O-line play is not nearly as bad as the main stream media would have you believe. They destroyed the SF front regularly last night. Russell is not adjusting the protection properly and he's escaping the pocket too fast.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this one, as my stream was pretty shitty last night so it was hard to tell. BUT...that said, it looked like when he WAS breaking the pocket, he's now dropping his eyes and looking to run way too soon, rather than looking downfield for passing opportunities while extending the play before taking off for yards

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
All they practice in the passing game is scramble drills :stirthepot:

That said, my Niners looked out of place last night. Bowman wasn't his typical brute self. Kaep needed to run a few times he threw the ball away. If he would actually use his legs time to time, I am sure the DBs would start playing up more, letting the WR's find a seam. But, that is my arm chair QBing for the day.

I saw that on the guide and immediately set a recording for that as well as the one on Warren Moon that follows. As Rice was coming up the two best receivers in the NFL were on the west coast. I still remember Largent injuring his elbow on a diving catch in Philadelphia early in the season that knocked him out for awhile.

It seems there are quite a few fans around the NFL now that don't know the Seahawks and 49er's were not always rivals. I was a fan of Montana and Rice growing up. It was easy as they never played Seattle. I even rooted for the 49er's in their last 2 Super Bowl victories for the same reason I wanted the Ravens to beat the 9ers; they were playing against Seattle's division rival.

    Some really cool shit
49ers fans were not pouting, fire. I posted a link to a story here a couple weeks back. They are staying away because York is an idiot, and for what he did to the team. The fans are pissed. Here is another.

    http://www.mercurynews.com/tim-kawakami/ci_29011878/kawakami-49ers-woes-can-be-traced-jed-york

As a fan, you hope for a good showing. I didn't think they could beat Seattle. But I hoped they could put up a fight. They did not. From the first series, Bush dropping an easy catch for a first down, to the fact they punted more time than they got first downs, it was pathetic. Hell, I'm still pissed they traded away Andy Lee. If you're gonna have to punt more times than first downs, it'd be nice to have one of the top 5 punters in the league. Instead, the new guy puts them 37 yards downfield. Crap, from top to bottom.

Rice and Largent were two of my heroes as a kid, along with Lofton and Jefferson and Coffey (from a pass catching perspective)

Watch a Packers game. Capers' edgy "man outside, zone inside" is liquid ass on a stick for OCs to plan for (unless you've got pro-bowl DBs like Woodson and Collins, then it can work, otherwise you're fucked and give up 500 yards to Moutheyes Rivers)

    Yes sir
Super cars are subjective, technically they're a car that's extremely expensive, fast, and looks great. But some cars are super expensive and decently fast and some are cheaper and but have a higher top speed.

All I'm saying is the corvette is one of the best cars you can buy for the price. Roughly $60,000 off the top of my head for a car that looks great and has 200MPH top speed? Sounds alright to me. A Lamborghini aventador only has another 20MPH and it's $395,000... obviously it's a beautiful car but still

agree totally with the premise....the vette has the performance of many supercars for a much lower price. but that doesn't make a vette a supercar, imho!

Grim. Big crowds from away teams are becoming a deal. Lots of Steeler fans were in San Diego. If your team is stinkin it up, they get their money back on the seat.

Antoine Bethea on IR... I'm reading the article and I come across this gem

"The team (49ers) has activated Jerome Simpson, who missed the first six games of the year after being arrested in July 2014 on a misdemeanor charge for having marijuana and an open bottle of alcohol in his car while driving with a restricted license. The incident marked his third arrest. He did not play last season."

    ...

    Above reproach.

You're in full blown 100% rebuilding mode and you activate this guy? Fuck, clean house man.

I don't know. For the first time in 4 years I saw a team with no heart, no fight. They quit. Against a division rival. At home.

Wtf has actually happened in SF? Hawks fan here but it's just fucking sad watching the total complete implosion of a team that was arguably great just 2 years ago. Is York really the worlds biggest dumbass that he seems to be?

as an outside observer....it looks to me like pretty much everyone he's brought in...player, front office person, coach...has lost heart and been run out of town on a rail when they can't make a Lombardi appear from the aether with no proper support or infrastructure.

how far back to you want to go? outside of harbaugh, nobody's been able to accomplish DICK in years, and as soon as he bailed, everything imploded. again.

Reading about York a bit and uncovered this:

"It has been reported that York and Harbaugh had a clash in the personality department. The animosity between the two was exacerbated by an alleged clash between them midway through the 2014 season when York supposedly walked uninvited into a meeting Harbaugh was holding with the players. When Harbaugh noticed York slinking into the meeting, he allegedly told York the the meeting was for "men only."

I like Jim Harbaugh a little more today.
