First off, mad props to Wade Wilson and that Denver D. They're pretty much the only unit with the personnel to throttle Rodgers and the Packers' offense like that.

There's other teams with as good a back end (say, Buffalo, the J E S T, Arizona), or as ferocious an up-front pass rush, or as fast/smart a LB corps to move around so well. Nobody else has all three of them performing at this level simultaneously though.

Right now, there's only 3 or 4 teams in the league that scare me (as a Packers fan) and Denver's at the top of that list. They put on I think probably the best defensive performance of the year last night. As in, the best this year in all of football. That was absurdly great defense.

 

Niners offense is starting to remind me of a Walking Dead episode.

 

At this point, I can see this Defense carrying Peyton all the way to the Big Show.

12 Starters gone from last year. Injury bug biting hard. Complete disarray in the Front Office. I can't remember when last it looked this bleak. I'll still root for my team, and watch the games. Fortunately, Warriors!

 

Injury bug it's biting a bunch of teams. Over 10 players left the game with injuries yesterday between the chargers and ravens.... It's tuuuuurrible

Before that game I thought Denver was very unimpressive for an undefeated team. I loved there 90's uniforms though

 

No doubt. Hyde injured, so they dump Hayne knowing Bush will get injured every other time he handles the ball. I think they should have given Hayne more of a chance.

 

If he clears waivers he'll be back.

 

I didn't dig very deep (at work, no time) but I believe that there have been only two sub .500 teams that have made the playoffs. Seattle and Carolina. Different years, though. With all the crappy teams this year I wondered if it was possible to have more than one sub .500 team make the playoffs. Especially since there are currently only 12 teams with winning records. Of course it is, though unlikely. Found this semi-interesting article about losing teams in the playoffs.

I watched the game. Definitely plenty of seats available. That stinking edifice to Al Davis is completely empty. Destroyed a good baseball venue to get more seats for football but can't sell'um. Thanks, but I'll stick with my team. Been a 9er fan since the 70's.

 

In the process of scouring the filth from our skin with abrasive pads to get past the Davis Decline, but been a Raider fan since the 70s.
