Jerry wants yes men. Jimmy Johnson won him two titles and he gets rid of him because Johnson wouldn't kiss his ass. Jones is a total meddling fool like Al Davis was for the Raiders.

Memories in Texas are long. Jerry Jones is a human urinal target first for how he treated Tom Landry. You talk to a man like that behind the scenes and give him the news, then allow him to "announce" his retirement. Strike one Jerry.

Next, Jerry hires a coach who builds a winning team but won't swallow his pride enough to share the spotlight or trust in team decisions. Strike two.

Lastly, he builds a monstrous stadium that punters can bounce off of and wrangles a Super Bowl to fill it. He gets afraid of bad weather and steals the snow removal equipment from several west Texas towns. It snows in them but Dallas is fine. They are screwed, and want to run him over with those plows.

    No one loves Jerry.

Why? It made for good tv and ESPN needs viewers. I love seeing people go off the cuff like that. More entertaining than them reading stats all day.

Well just got to Hawaii and looks like the Vikings had a decent game but the turnovers killed them. Surprised to see Teddy threw for 335 yards.

Carroll wasn't successful in his first stint in the NFL. Maybe Kelley won't be, either. For a time there I liked Carroll. I thought he got a raw deal in NY. I can't remember why, after all these years. Don't care anymore 'cause I no longer care for Carroll.

27-21 with a flawed team. He arguably changed the mentality of the team and shaped it to go on a run. Here's a great article I read about his NE days.

Right, the way you said "first stint in the NFL" I thought you meant before USC, he is in his second stint now. Not third. The Jets were a disaster, but he was not successful there. I think his 3 year influence in NE had a big impact for them leading into the Brady years.

    I did mean before USC.

Head Coach NY Jets - 1994 6-10 First stint as NFL Head Coach
Patriots- 1997-1999 Second stint as NFL Head Coach
    USC - 2001-2009
'hawks - 2010 - present I would consider third stint as NFL Head Coach

Guess we have different definitions of stint. No big deal. I found a story from last year that refreshed my memory of how he got a raw deal in New York.

I was really pulling for the Vikings last night - that game, moreso that final drive, pretty much sums up their season this year. It's too bad, I think they're a great team, and have a lot of talent. May be time for a new coach...

I think the same. They need a couple more players in key spots and they could be a really good team in the next few years. I don't think Zimmer is or will be able to get the job done however.

Tight game. I thought for sure it was going into OT. Arizona is a scrappy team. They're in it until the Fat Lady sings.

I feel for Dallas fans, I'm afraid we may be entering a great era of stupid decisions with the Forty Niners too. I hope I'm wrong.

Russell Wilson is the first QB to post a better than 135 QB rating over 4 straight games since.... 1960. BTW Wilson's over the last 4 games is a PERFECT 158.3 16 TD's 0 Int 1,200 yards 75% completion.

The NFL should be scared. Russell Wilson is doing what nobody thought he could. What RGKnee couldn't. What Kaepernick couldn't. What Andrew Luck isn't.

    All from the pocket.

The Seahawks are evolving, it cost them the #1 seed to figure it out but we'll be better off for it in the future.

I think your numbers may be a little off. Since the merger in '66 he is the only QB with passer rating of 138.5 or better in 4 consecutive games. He doesn't have a perfect passer rating.

    Correct it's 146, I swapped a number.

    Comp.% Yards/Att. TD% Int.% NFL QB Rating
    75.42 -----9.9836 ---- 13.55-- 0 ----146.11581920903956

We'll be fine. Whether it is Lynch coming back or Jackson, the RB isn't the catalyst. We have a strangle hold on the #5 seed which is right where we want to be.
