He was more than not one of the best. He was one of the worst last season. However, they kept it a little quiet that he needed three surgeries. It looks obvious that Kelly wants to give him another shot. If he heals up and still sucks, I guess we'll know for sure.

Kap needs to fire his agent. He signs the worse QB contract ever, and now suggesting a trade where Kap has no leverage at all. Oh and it just so happens to be the day after the GM says he's coming back next year. Pathetic.

Dallas needs a QB with two intact clavicles. I don't think they're too picky at this point.

    Just sayin'.

Definitely a soap opera in Santa Clara.

I was actually thinking, what if the Niners and Kap were working together and this whole thing is a conspiracy. The timing of the announcements is kind of skeptical. Earlier in the week reports say Kap is more than willing to work with team. Next day GM talks to media and says "We expect Kap to be here on Apr 1" and being careful with his words so that he doesn't say too much. Shortly after, Chip talks to a small group of reporters and echoes what GM says. This is to get leverage with other teams, make Kap more "expensive" if another team wants him. Then the next day, Kap's agent says they want to look for trades.

Who knows, maybe I'm reading into it too much. But the relationship between Kap and the Niners is F'd up. No trust. And Chip can say all he wants, but it'll be interesting what happens with Kap. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't on the team next year - even with all these reports this week

I'm out of predictions on Kap. Who knows? I wanted the guy to succeed, then he started to suck, then he got worse. Last year was bad news, then it comes to light he's playing with all these injuries. It's hard to predict anything right now.

I'm torn on Kap. He has the same upside as RG3. Both QBs could make a huge comeback in the league. I want Kap to do it with the Niners, but I don't think he will. Both need a fresh start with a new group of people. I don't think Kap will get that until next year. They'll draft a QB to fit CK's offense, and kap will be gone after his replacement has been churched up on the offense for a year.

The 49ers situation parallels the Seahawks situation with one major exception.

Established head coach with great success and a trip to the Supberbowl (Holmgren 2005, Harbaugh 2012)
Egomaniac GM who gets in a power struggle with the coach and wins (Tim Ruskell, Trent Baalke)
Egomaniac GM fires established head coach (Holmgren, Harbaugh)
Egomaniac GM hires a new coach who lasts 1 year (Mora, Tomsula)
Team hires a successful college coach to rebuild the program after the GM destroys it (Carroll, Kelly)

    The major difference?

Paul Allen fired the GM because he has balls.

Jed York doesn't fire the GM because he has a vagina.

Some of those kids looked good in the passing part today. Some looked like they should stay in college a few more years.

Sounds about right. If I really wanna nitpick, remember Brady missed a little more than half of the AFC title game..

Or my man Trent Dilfer haha

If Keith Marshall can stay healthy, he could be an absolute steal in this draft. He was injury prone at UGA, and relegated to 3rd or 4th string when he came back (behind Gurley, then behind Chubb and Michele, and sometimes Brendan Douglas). I never understood why Schottenheimer didn't use him more last season when he was actually healthy, other than Schotty is an idiot. Kid is REALLY good when he's healthy. Then goes and runs and official 4.31 40 and does 25 reps of 225.

UGA's only big play receiver over the last couple years, Malcolm Mitchell, had decent numbers, but some teams want him to run through the DB drills, too. He played DB a little at UGA when we were really thin at the position.

I wouldn't say Jed has a Vagina, per se. He fired a winning coach and an incompetent coach who he will owe a lot of money too. I would say he's more of a dumbass.

Playing well enough for your team to win is what matters in the team aspect of things. The SB trophy looks exactly the same whether won with defense or offense.

The fact that Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and Jim McMahon were able to hoist the trophy and Marino wasn't is the reason why I don't think Super Bowls can be used to determine the greatest QB.
