    It's allowed if there's contact, but not if they grab on. Offensively the ball carrier is trying to push past a defenseman, not pull him along with them.
    Defense, they're trying to haul down an offensive player so facemask contact almost always involves pulling/dragging.

    At least that's how I understand it. :notsure:

    Copy that. I always see it called against a lineman, Offensive and defensive, just pushing and the hand slides up into the face. I see it the same as a stiff arm in that scenario.

    I can bet one thing a lot more for the bears than packers, they coming from a loss playing at home. The refs seem to let go all of the holding calls against them.
