Pats/Hawks game while good, that Dallas/Pit game took the cake.

Carroll got a big huggy from Belichick after the win.

 

Pete Carroll will never be thought of as a exceptional ingame strategist or brilliant manager of the game. In saying that, did Bill Belichick outthink himself last night?

Brady said the reason for the first QB sneak, from 6 feet out, was to kill clock and force Seattle to take a time out. So, against the best defensive unit in the NFL over the last 5 years you burn a play and give yourself 3 chances to score instead of 4? Brady is one of the best QB's at running the sneak for 1 yard. 2 yards is a completely different story and he admitted it was all about the clock/timeout.

Interesting decision.

I also thought though they should have gone back to Blount on the last play but it would have been way better to spread seattle out on 1st and 2nd down. You have arguably the best QB in the history of the NFL. Let him find a window.

 

I've heard they are pretty tight as far as coaches go, talk philosophy a lot.
