Fair enough, and good point on lost causes. I never cared much for the Falcons, but i will most likely attend a game or two next season with my kid. Atlanta is an hour away. I reckon I could get behind them if I ignore their owner. I used to work for HD and don't think much of their corporate climate. I lived in Florida as a kid, but never cared for the Bucs (then the worst NFL team ever). I sported a Marino jersey in middle school, back when Shula was head coach. Bucs & Dolphins man, talk about lost causes:rofl:. Living in Florida as a kid, the Bucs were our Raiders and the Dolphins our Chargers. I think the Raiders were cool back then with Bo Jackson. The Bucs and Raiders are hot right now, right?

Could be a crazy game. The weather here is garbage right now so expect defense and ground game. While your backfield isn't what it once was, I think it will be a close game either way.

I'm confident (at least now as I type this) in the Ravens Defense but the Offense worries me (99% of the time lol)

They are calling for 36F and rain tonight per (ESPN). No snow?

The Niners were hot when I was a small kid. Don Griffin was on that team. His brother, James was also a pro player in the '80s-'90s. My dad played high school ball with them and their nephew was on the team with me. We were big 49er fans because of Don and that late '80s team.

It snowed about an inch here overnight and turned to rain at some point, my drive to work at 8AM was rain. I live about 30 min from the stadium.

WTF is up with that? How many first half leads have they coughed up? They cannot play four quarters of football without collapsing. I would like to see Kaep gone from the Niner's to carry on his protests elsewhere. They have enough problems.

I wonder how many fans KC picked up when Montana was traded from the Niners back in '93. I wonder how many fans pull for a specific player over an entire team, and if their allegiance moves to the new team. Having not followed stick & ball sports in my adulthood, I'm real curious how sports fandom works.

As a kid, I observed a lot of bandwagon fandom, which I guess is basic fandom (Everybody starts somewhere). Elementary school was full of Niners fans, in middle school, everybody was all about the Cowboys. High school was suddenly all about the Broncos.

College ball is even more odd to me because maybe 15% of my friends went to college, maybe half of them are gung-ho about their alma-mater teams, but it's the fans among the other 85% that didn't go to college who are the biggest college football fans. But that's a discussion for a different thread.

Someone up above said they don't acknowledge fans who don't live where their team is based. I think that speaks to your post. I thinks it's fine to root for any team no matter their geographic location. To ignore these fans would disenfranchise a vast portion of the sport's fans.

    Oh yeah, Go Bills!

So the Rams fired Fisher. After signing him to an extension in the offseason.

I've heard rumors of them trying to get Harbaugh from Michigan and back to the pros.

Bout time. Fisher just doesn't have it. I don't know about Harbaugh though, I think he is a God now in Michigan.

I don't think he'll leave Michigan honestly. They'll pay him whatever he wants to get him to stay. They're nationally relevant again and he's won 10 games each of the last 2 seasons, and they were abysmal before he got there.

As a Steelers fan, I find myself conflicted tonight. Hoping they play to a tie. If not (and I almost can't type this), I hope the Patriots win.

So out of curiousity, where's all of the outrage over the Steelers playing with deflated balls?

The lack of ANYTHING from the NFL, fans, news media, etc. certainly seems to lend credence to the theory that people only give a crap when it's the Patriots who might be cheating. Not to mention that Goodell's 'investigation' might turn out to be nothing much more than a witchhunt.

Steelers used deflated balls in week 13 of the 2016 season. Hardly ancient history.

Brady's 4 game suspension was at the beginning of this season. Also hardly ancient history.
