Congrats! Mech E? Ignore the FE if so. I didn’t take it, with the intent of doing so later. That was 7 years ago and I have had ZERO lag from not being an EIT.

Oh I see - CALL IN THE NERD. :D

No I got nothing - I can’t see them on my phone either though. What phone do you use? Apple uses some .HELO format or something, unless you tell it to shoot in jpeg. You might be putting the picture in that apple format somehow.

I am using an iphone, but still, might be screwy with the forum platform.

Yep, Mech E. Working as an Automation Engineer now. FE is not in the plans unless it is required in some job I want. I may try deleting the post and just redoing it and see what happens. I assume the rest of my posts have the pics right?

Awseome, that feeling is the best feeling - done with school. I went back for stats but my company paid for it.

You can probably go your whole career with zero hurdles needing an EIT, I know a few PMPs who have it, our old Mfg Manager had his EIT but I think had no PEs to “apprentice” for, so I think he’s been an EIT for like 10+ years and is still in the EIT boat.

I can’t say DON’T do it, but I can highly recommend - focus time and efforts on (a) fun stuff, after being done with engineering school, and (b) some other degree your company pays for from here on out :D

Yes - pictures are showing. Here’s a screenshot from an older post.

Were you shooting in raw? Post in Lightroom by any chance? Or did you shoot straight to jpeg without post at all?

I dont know, its my gf that does all the camera shenanigains. It does look like the extension is .jpg not a .jpeg. But all of my previous pictures were the same .jpg.

Also my welder will be here tomorrow, I have to go get gas and will do some welding on 110V. I got quoted $1000 for a 30 a 220V outlet that's like 40 feet from the panel.

edited- $100 would be a steal.

    Rear chase and backup lights

First truck project done with the welder. Got the chase lightbar mounted up yesterday. Still needs paint and to be wired in. Here's a little preview.

Welp, I guess its time for new tires. Did lots of work this weekend and will mount and align on Tuesday.

    Wheels and Tires

I was planning on doing this upgrade at the end of the summer but my truck had a different plan. I went with 255 80 17 wildpeaks on RRW rr6-h's with 0 offset. I also replaced the upper control arms with SPC and the lower control arms with autoparts store lowers. There is some minor rubbing due to the offset of the wheels but I'll do tire clearance measures this weekend.

    Tire clearance

The 255's were supposed to fit but they ended up rubbing the pinch weld and the cab mount slightly. Both the chop and the pinch weld were surprisingly easy to do. I took out the front struts so I could fully cycle the suspension and make sure it clears 100% through the entire travel.

Clearance gains, I didn't buy cab mount chop plates. I took the cutoff and beat it flat and cut it apart some more and welded it back in.

A 33.1" Tire at full stuff fits in the wheel wells perfectly. Clears lock to lock when its on the bump.
