I missed the start of the Boston-Montreal game last night but just caught it on Sportscenter........On behalf of all Canadians with any class at all,I apologize for the Booing of the US National anthem.Not only is it an embarassment to me but how disrepectful to all the American players on the Canadiens. The last time this happened,they went back to Boston and the Bruins fans brought the house down with applause and cheering after O Canada.

Be passionate,be rowdy,......But show some repect.

My lifelong distain for the Montreal Canadiens continues.

 

Lets go Bruins!! You could see the Habs give up last night in the third period. Priceless..........

 

Another reason why I actually hate Canadian fans more than Yankee fans!!

^^^^ Haha nice play. I don't know what it is. It seems like all the local habs fans in Montreal are the worst. here in Edmonton the habs fans outclass the Edmontonians 2-1. We only get to go to one game a season so we buy up all the tickets and just go to enjoy the hockey game. However when I see things like booing another anthem I hang my head in shame. Thats not what hockey is about (well said by squad). Blah Blah blah....don't beat me up for being a habs fan haha.

 

Right on Dilsky,generalizations suck so I don't mean to rag on every Habs fan,just the ignorant ones.

 

Def not cool to boo during any counties national anthem. BTW Philly has by far the worst fans. Right Rich.....

 

There were some boos in the crowd during the Canadian anthem in St. Louis the other night. Although it could have just been the guy singing.

Unfortunately you are right...some canadiens, boo or even worst, don't even stand during the Canadian anthem....bullshit quebec politics.

 

Homer J....definitely not cool to boo, I agree...I want to say I was most impressed with USA fans and their so dedicated support and maximum cheering during a particular Olympic game some time back in my past ....I am now over 60. I was never to this day so impressed with their respect for their country...thats the way it should be.

 

Our college team played a team from Quebec that showed zero respect during our anthem, in our own house. (They sat or turned the other way from the flag). We just lit them up w/ near constant U-S-A! chants through out the game.
