Just got a recall on a new 2023 Offroad. Not sure if anyone else has gotten this or not so I was wondering if anyone did?

"In the affected vehicles, the spiral cable assembly in the steering column may lose its electrical connection on the circuit controlling the driver's airbag".

Last week someone had a thread about this. It was on fire for awhile.

Yup just started rolling out. They inspect and scan a barcode to see if it passes or fails.

I must have missed that thread, my bad for double posting. Glad it isn't anything major.

was yours built during spring/summer 2023? It's seems most people are reporting that time frame.

I'm not sure how to know when it was built unfortunately. I bought it in August if that helps.

One of the tags inside the driver’s door jamb has the manufacture date.

July of '23 on the door jamb.

Funny enough I called 5 dealers around me and non of them have the fix for it. They want you to drive to them and have them check the number and compare it to their sheets (normal thing). But they will not order the replacement until it is verified that it needs to be replaced. Is this normal for recall? I would like to think they would maintain some stock so the warranty work is fast and profitable.
