Nice loaner

Last time I got a Camry, not a truck...

 

Very nice that thing is mint for a 96. I have a Mercedes e300 and to quote the then-incarcerated shamwow guy "the Germans make good stuff".

 

Also lookout for the new Z along with the Supra both making a return.

 

I traded a 2000 4Runner for my 2017 Tacoma. My daily driver for 17 years. Very similar to your gen 1. My new tacoma is a nice upgrade, but the 4Runner was a great truck. I would still have it but it finally wore out! That said, I am happy with my gen 3. IMO your gen 1 is a keeper for now.

Everybody does ... the prices I keep getting offered for my Gen 1 double cab is ridiculous

 

I've noticed that if they think they can get a sale out of you, they will be very likely to let you take a car off the lot as a loaner.

 

One thing is for certain . If you want a Toyota truck new or used you better have your wallet open a bit further than you'd like .

 

As long as there are gardeners and pool men, my Taliban gen 1 will continue to be in demand

 

People still take their trucks to the stealership for service after the warranty is over? . That's a neat way to put a hole in your savings.

 

Badass loaner man, i refused to drive a third gen when they first came out last year. I knew once i drove one i would want one.

 

I wasnt even offered a loaner for my 2007 taco frame replacement

I agree -- the folks at your dealer told the Svc. dept. to give you the best loaner they could -- to tempt you!!

Or trade & retire with almost NIB truck with super low mileage that’s almost paid off, that was my thinking, but I’m probably wrong in my case
