I've been searching for the same thing and so far I like the sound of the flowmaster 50 series the most. Pretty much quiet at idle with a little bit of a growl when you get on it.

TRD exhaust all the way, it’s got some growl when accelerating and no annoying drone when cruising

This is an honest question: Why? Why are people so concerned about a "nice sounding" exhaust?

First of all what is a "nice" sound? It is a highly subjective term. What I think is "nice" may be annoying to others. I had what I thought was a nice sound on my Tundra but my wife hated it. Why? Because when I was approaching home it could be heard long before I got there and it set the dogs off a-barkin'.

A "nice sounding" exhaust system is what I call "Audible Bling." It really doesn't make any tangible contribution to making your truck better. Sort of like decals.

Now, if I was to install a new exhaust system with the specific intent of improving performance and the new exhaust sounded nicer/cooler/better/bad-ass-ier, well, that's fine. But to spend hundreds of dollars to change the sound is, IMHO, a total waste of money.

    My 2 cents.
