"Nice Truck"

Do you ever have random people say "nice truck" about your Tacoma?

I get it ALL the time. I have driven nice vehicles before and I always keep them clean but I have never had someone say that to me.

Also, we don't have many 2nd gen's in Western PA (alot of 1st gens). So I guess it's a bit different than socal or other places where they are very common.

I'm mostly stock (running boards, tonneau, and a few other things).

I've had a few people compliment the color (Impulse Red.) In fact, a guy I work with wanted the color code so he can paint his '56 Ford pick up the same color.

I just bought a 2010 Mag grey Dbl cab Lb sport and have gotten alot of neck breaking looks and comments, the kids in my neiborhood were standing in my driveway the other morning checking it out lol. When I bought my 2005 Dark blue Dbl cab LB sport I got alot of comments because the 2nd gen had just come out and I would get notes left on my truck also asking questions.

 

Where Im at in Cali I get compliments all the time. It's great! Don't know why though. There are 2nd gens every where here. I swear I pass at least six on the way to work every day. Counting mine and an X-Runner there are four SWBs just at my squadron!

and they actually said "beautiful truck"

 

yeah.... a lot more when im driving and i pull up to another taco or tundra or a punk kid with a ranger.....

 

yeah i get it alot. even the city cops have stopped me at a gas station or something and said 'hey ive been meaning to tell you i like your truck'

makes me not want to take the lift off of it

What other vehicles have you received similar comments on?

I have driven a brand new Mazada Tibute, brand new Ford Escape, brand new Jeep GC and a nearly new Dodge Dakota and did not receive compliments on ANY of them - besides family members who HAVE to say it.

 

My 1995 Toyota Supra TT Targa Top get eye Fu*ked all the time, but those are the only two vehicles I have ever had that someone says that too, even though I did it today to a guy who just bought a new black Ford Raptor, that is a bad ass looking truck

 

Why are you removing the lift?

Also, I've gotten quite a few compliments from coworkers and people in parking lots about the truck. It's nice to hear that others dig what you've done to your ride, but I get no where the compliments that I used to with my old heavily modified G35 coupe. Now that was a head turner...

 

I've gotten several comments, including a few within a day of buying it. The speedway blue really stands out around here in a sea of white, silver, brown, and red trucks.
