Just gotta crank it all the way up... You don't need to worry about duty cycles or propper technique

Believe me, it was cranked all the way up. I never ran into duty cycle issues either. And my "technique", to use the word loosely, wasn't going to win any awards, either. I'm a grinder, not a welder.

It's a great welder, I'm just impatient. I could have saved serious time if I had a more powerful welder. Throw one bead down the seam and be done with it.

I would just weld a thick ass washer around the hole.

I always just burn it off with a cutting torch, easy peasy.

Here's your answer, few minutes work with a good welder, and I mean minutes, then you'll have to ream or drill the hole out if it's welded properly.
By welder I mean the applicator not the machine, all though you need a decent machine not a HF on sale machine, junk.

I hear ya, I'm sure there will coma a day when my skills with a welder will surpass the equipment I have, but for now I'm just really glad I've been using it and getting better.

Just make your welds look better than this and you're winning in life...

I’m thinking It’s possible to add and grind...Although I’m not opposed to having new 1/4” mounts...need to learn more than spot welds. Thankfully Theres a gang of industrial welders/millwrights at work. Thanks folks I’ll post a pic of whatever I do in a few days. Maybe I’ll learn to weld and fab a little flatbed.

Next time buy/order a Lenox Carbide tipped sawzall blade. Had to cut my front lower control arms off and it did it with ease. $11 at Home Depot or on Amazon.

    Buy some of these:

Not sure on your bolt size, but you get the point....

    https://www.barnes4wd.com/Weld-Washer-12-6-Pack_p_1095.html

Weld up, find a member up in Seattle that can help you out, or find a fab shop that will weld it for you.

    Easy as warm apple pie.
