Ya we used a grinder, I had a 1 3/4 hole saw but we couldn't clamp the pipe right. Ya they are 12s. Unfortunately I did not get any finish pictures. I will take some tomorrow in the light.

Ya I did. I didn't want to but looking at Brett's non OEM boots starting to crack I thought it would be best to go OEM. I didnt like the price though.

I know, I cheaped out and got the CVJ outer boot and wished I would have paid the extra money for the OEM boot

I guess I should let the cat out of the bag. I bought a couple more things this winter for the truck.

Need to buy center caps for these.

I dont know if a regear will happen this year or not but will make these fit for the summer.

I never said it was going to be fun on the highway but I couldn't pass up the deals for the tires and wheels.

People do it. At least your truck will look good while going slow.

Yes it will. The main problem is I need to buy a front lock and the gears and that is expensive. Then I need to locate a donor clam shell and 3rd to do the regear. I drive the truck to much to be able to that stuff out. Then I need to get my bug running reliably so I can drive that instead of the truck while I break the gears in. So all in all that is a lot of money.

I hope to start cutting in the next couple weeks. I have a trip planned for the end of March and would like to run the new tires but we will see. I need to get my new axles in and some new OEM tie rod ends installed.

Just do the ecgs core charge. I think they give you 3 weeks or so to send your stuff back and neither the front or the rear should take more than a day a piece.

Ya that is an option but I have heard a lot of bad stories as of recent that ecgs gears are not holding up. There is a guy here in Colorado that is a master at setting up gears for Toyotas. So I have to weigh my options.

Huh that’s a bummer. Mine have held up awesome with my abuse the last few years and I planned on continuing to use them for future work.
